"I couldn't sleep, so I came to the study to find some books to read, yes, that's it." There was only one light on in the study, and the light was rather dim. As I said that, I moved to the side of the desk and kicked the clothes on the floor under the desk. "I really don't understand, you people like to read when you can't sleep, those words are like ants, one more glance and I'm all over the place, you can read it yourself, I'm going to my room." Anna was like a ghost when she heard that she was reading a book, and hurriedly left the study.

Without hesitation, I flipped the next page. Lights gleamed from the book as it opened so wide, stretching its pages. My fingers almost got burnt, so I immediately threw it away. It floated above us while glowing so bright. I raised my hand above my forehead to shade my eyes from its luminosity.

He remained, standing, heels in the aisle. As she noticed earlier, where the shelves in the outer, more public rooms overwhelmed with their size, these did not. Sunlight filtered through a thick blue curtain, illuminating a small room located in the attic. Right by the door was a large wooden desk, painted white, and a swivel chair. Under the desk was a trash can filled to the brim with some papers, soda bottles, and salty snack wrappers. On the desk there was a laptop in a silver casing, a pile of notebooks and books, and a tiny lamp. Above the desk there was a large shelf with a lot of books - from textbooks, through readings, to romances. Here and there, there were photos framed in colorful frames and many other ornaments such as jugs, figurines, etc.

Perhaps I ought to swap to an audio book, that might soothe me whilst I wait. “Hey honey, you asleep yet?” I hear my mother say from the other side of the door.
