Rose Elia presses hard onto the gas pedal but I am surprised to see him heading straight towards the Range Rover. As we're getting nearer, he presses down the window on his side before raising a gun. Somehow, everything starts to move in slow motion—I get to see two people on the front seats looking straight at us before Elia shoots the driver.

“Does it matter? Just be happy. You and the Moon Shone people will get a Luna. A great Luna…at that.” “….” Rojja took a short breath as he cast a concerned gaze at Rohan. He opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again then said. "But, are you sure you want to make her your Luna when she's in that condition?" Rohan's ears perk up as his gaze sharpens with his forehead frown deep. He separated his back from the wall as he took his step, hands in his pockets. He stopped exactly an inch in front of Rojja, who was cornered with nowhere to run as his back was stuck to the wall.

As I scan the room, my eyes land on Riley, who is staring intently at a guy across the room. Curiosity getting the better of me, I creep up to her quietly, just to scare her a little. “Boo!” I say. “Ahhh…no, don't do that C. What's wrong with you?” she says, turning back to keep staring at the guy. I squint at the guy, trying to place him. “Wait, is that Drax?...ewwww nooo why?” I say, with a disgusted look on my face because Drax is my cousin.

Rocket has medical training so I’m glad she is taking charge. “ We got her. Goof, move slowly. Keep her as still as possible. Ice, you got her legs?” Rocket asks. “ Got her.” “ Casper, I need a place to lay her down.” Rocket yells. “ We are ready for you.” Casper says. He sounds like he is far away. “ We move as one.” Rocket says. I hear boots on gravel but nothing else. “ Let’s get her down. Bend with me.” Rocket said. Silence. I’m assuming Rocket is checking her over. “ Rocket?” Casper said. “ I know. Find out where that ambulance is. Ice, I want you to breathe in her mouth when I tell you.” Rocket said.

I shook my head no because there wasn’t anyone else unless you invited every white priestess and that seemed a bit awkward for well everyone. Roe and I were quietly talking about all her dolls when the Alpha and Rogan came back in. It was obvious something was wrong. The Alpha spoke first while Rogan went to Roe and asked if Corgan could read her a story before bed. Corgan entered the room and I could feel the disappointment all over him that this was his job right now. The Alpha kissed Roe good night and then waited for Corgan and her to be out of earshot.

Jagger POV “What do you need?” Ghost asks as we pull the bike to the side of the motel. I nod in the direction of the door, and he gives me a small nod as he grabs his gun from the back of his pants. “This is a robbery. Give me the money,” Ghost says as he enters the glass reception area, and I walk past in the direction of the rooms, kicking the door down. The girl screams as she jumps out of the bed, and I find Rover lying on his back with his hands tied to the bed, and I can’t help but smile at the sight in front of me. He is more stupid than I thought. How could he allow a woman to do this to him?

It was as if he was flying over that spot, hovering. " Lin can you hear me.... " It was Roe. Her voice was very distant but it was still clearer than those whispers. " I.... I am fine but... " " But what? " " I can't see them. Besides, I can't land on my feet. I am hovering down here. " " What? Wait. I'm coming.... " And with that Lin could hear the sounds of heavy metals. They were lowering the chains down for Roe to come down. It seemed like it took Roe forever to close the distance. The chain also fell short.

***Amber's Pov*** I shivered when I heard Alpha Marcus's name. When I knocked on his door, he yelled from his room. But I had to go through it one more time in the hopes of getting pregnant and being free. The brown hair in a ponytail revealed the Alpha's face. He squinted and waved his hand at me as I approached the door, telling me not to waste his time. A gunshot wound on his handsome face left a long scar extending from just under his left eye to his thin lips and right nostril.

Far across the city, in the fog-wrapped forests that bordered the outskirts, a man ran on four limbs—barefoot and shirtless—toward the circle of cabins hidden within the pines. He shifted as he entered the clearing, bones snapping, muscles rearranging until he stood tall again, panting and human. Inside the largest cabin, seated before a roaring fire, was a man with golden eyes. Radiating dominance, power, and age, the Rogue Alpha didn’t move as the scout knelt before him. “She’s attending the gala, Alpha.” The golden-eyed man finally turned his head. His gaze was ancient and dangerous. “Elaina Rivers?” “Yes. She received the invitation this morning.”

“No tracking here yet. But satellites, heat-seeking drones, license-plate readers—they have maybe forty minutes before they close in.” We left the Rover in a gravel lot behind a closed clam shack, sign creaking in the wind. The front was smashed from the gate, paint scratched to metal—it would blend with the old cars left by tourists. R pushed it into loose sand, tossed the keys under the mat. Two rows over, he swapped our plates with a rusty Subaru—New Jersey tags, expired sticker. Nothing to notice.
