Edwin opened the live stream app. After creating an account on it, Edwin hesitated for a second before nicknaming himself as "Tail's Dad", and then he watched Tail's live stream. Tail was drawing. She zoomed out a little. There were a large number of paint boxes and crayons on the table. Then, she finished a crayon drawing. In the crayon drawing, three adults and a child were going out for spring vacation. The sun was shining brightly, the grass was green, the river burbled, and the butterflies were flying about. It was so beautiful.

Oh well. The boy suddenly twitched, remembering something. He looked around frantically for what was missing and breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted his bag on the bed. The folder with the drawings was in place. Edgar opened it and looked at the sheet with a sketch of a beautiful girl with two braids and smiled. The imagination vividly painted fiery red hair, silky skin and bright green eyes. He remembered her soft laugh and soft sweet lips. Very pleasant. Perhaps Darius is still somewhat right. Maybe he should think about a second date? For some reason, Edgar was sure that this time he would not be refused.

I was sketching the face of the scary redhead I had dreamt about. I wasn't exactly a master at drawing but my art teacher in high school had often told me I was really good at drawing portraits and landscapes. I made sure to capture every detail about her face, starting from her ginger coloured hair, to her perfectly pointed nose, her light freckles and her plump lips. But most of all, those terrifying black eyes that looked demonic.

After wiping away her tears, Cherry waddled over to the bookshelves, pulled out a drawing album from the corner where it was least likely to be seen, and sat down on the carpet. Opening the album revealed a collection of drawings, some appearing eerily chaotic. It was difficult to discern their meaning. The only recognizable features were human heads, encircled by dark streaks that vaguely resembled beards. "You're the worst! I hate you! I'll never draw you again. Cherry doesn't need a daddy like you!" As she complained, she forcefully tore at the pages, ripping them into pieces. In a matter of minutes, the abstract masterpieces had turned into shreds of paper.

So that means getting going now. Having a blank page for a commission, and getting started on it, that’s two different things. After wasting most of my free period staring at a large white rectangle, I give up and start doodling in a sketchpad instead. Sketches of faces, mostly. The Pack. Imogen. Mom. The college staff. My tutor, Mrs Bird, as a Sergeant Major in a feathery rainbow uniform, strutting around bellowing orders. Jade as a crow, teaching crow martial arts to a bunch of baby crows. Mary in a Cinderella ball gown. Reese as a tiger. Tom as a warrior fairy, with dragonfly wings and a silver rapier.

I just wanted mum to stay here for a while.” One of her drawings rested ont he table too, almost covered by mum’s scarf. I pulled it from under there. It wasn’t the best picture but I could tell it was two older women with a child in between them. One of the women’s hair was done with a yellow pencil while the other was black, the child had tiny dots around her head to imitate hair, but what they all had in common was the yellow circles hovering over their heads and the triangle wings.
