The doctor asked me as I laid on my back on the bed. I nodded my head and searched for Jake hands, he wasn't far from me so I took his hands in mine in a form of support strength. "What do you see." The doctor asked me. He was standing on my left side. "I can only see darkness but sometimes light flashes through my eyes." I nervously replied. I started experiencing the flashes of light when I was eleven years but I kept it to my self today that I was asked. All this while my eyes where tightly closed.

Panic is growing in my chest when I yell at him "LELAND GET OFF OF ME!!!!! GET OFF!!!! GET OFF!!!!" my throat feels like its constricting on itself, my limbs are growing tired his hand pressing down on the side of my face into the floor my jaw feels like its going to pop. my vision has gone blurry I cant focus on my surroundings anymore. everything is in a haze "It wont be long now Becca baby I promise just a few more minutes and you'll feel much better" he coos calmly

Percy laughed and shrugged before he sipped on his wine. My brows furrowed at him as I observed the way he eats. I blinked multiple times when my vision got blurry. I shrugged my head when I saw red colours on the blurriness around me. I massaged my aching head as I got dizzy with the flashing red. Blood? Am I seeing blood in the flashing lights? "Hey! You okay?"

I looked around, listening to see if I could maybe hear them. I heard movement to my right, making me turn to look into the tree line. My heart thumped in my chest, hope filling my heart. Had they come back for me? I tried my hardest to see if maybe I could see their familiar forms, but it was the blind hour; dawn and dusk were the times of day when our eyes struggled to see things. Alexander had said that they call it the blind hour, where it was hard for our heightened sense of sight to make out shapes or see anything as we typically did.

My vision is becoming blurry by the minute and every single building seems to be moving too close to me. I can barely breathe and sweat trickles down my forehead. My throat is as dry as a desert. My chest feels tight. This is not the place to faint. One of the men, the head of the group, or so I assume, moves closer to me. His eyes are bloody red and one eye is twitching on and off like a light bulb. Blake is on the other side struggling to get to me and his anger can clearly be detected.

As the purple-eyed man looked, I was approached by the other who squatted down to inspect me. His short, black and white peppered hair almost blew into his eyes from the breeze. He had a pale grey tinge to his skin which was speckled with black dots. His zigzagged ears had hooped piercings in each section, as well as a small stud piercing on either side of his bizarre eyes. The only thing he wore was dark green pants which were riddled with baggy pockets that held the two guns and the silencers. “I’m Concussion" the yellow eyed man held out a hand to me that I only stared at "that's Nightshade" he pointed to the purple eyed man who rested a hand on Torch’s shoulder as he talked to him.

They come at me even faster than before, I have to focus so much as a blur of arm and legs come flying at me in a blur. I'm not fast enough and one of the blows lands on my eyes. I see stars for a few seconds and throw my arms up to block my face incase they try to hit me again as I couldn't see for a second. My right eye now out until it heals I could only see out of one. I could feel something trickle over my now blind eyes.

“What about them?” “Are you... can you see right now?” "Yes," I lie but Hannah let's out a scoff. "Liar, I just held up two fingers in front of you and you didn't see them," She exclaims. I exhale slowly, fighting the tremor in my hands. “Okay, fine, yes I'm blind. But it’s temporary. It happens when I overuse my ability. The vision comes back eventually.” “This happens always?” Her tone is skeptical, and scared even.

Gripped by a bone-chilling fear, I instinctively cried out, "Skyler, please help me! My eye hurts!" I kept calling out to him but didn't receive a response. Within moments, I was surrounded by flames. I thought I would die then and there. Fortunately, firefighters arrived at the last moment and pulled me out of the fire. … My vision was still mostly dark when I opened my eyes again. The doctor regretfully told me the glass shard had severely damaged my right eye, so I was now blind in that eye. As for my left eye, I had already suffered substantial vision loss due to a childhood illness. Because of this, the sight in that eye was very limited.
