A painting hangs beside his desk. I don’t know why it draws me in, but I find myself walking closer. Thick strokes of midnight blue and charcoal gray layer the canvas. In the center — barely visible unless you truly look — a thin streak of gold cuts through the darkness. Not bright. Not loud. Just there. A quiet fracture of light. It isn’t something you glance at. It’s something you feel. My fingers almost lift to touch the textured paint. Why would a blind man choose something so visual?

That's probably why she thought it best to talk it out." Alex said and Weaver nodded. "Don't tell the others about the male being blind. It'll provoke some of the others to try and run him off." Alex said and Weaver nodded in understanding. "I'll take a group to start setting up markers upon our new territory." Wever said and Alex nodded wondering how someone who couldn't see had survived this long. He had help from his sister but he didn't seem to rely on her. . . .

Grey couldn't stop his racing heartbeat. Then, as Keyara felt her hair was perfectly tied, she turned around while holding the two ice creams. She was about to give one to Grey but was surprised. Because Grey reached out his hand toward Keyara's glasses. He took off the transparent-framed glasses and folded them in his hand. Keyara felt her entire vision blur. Her eyes were indeed -4 diopters, and that was enough to turn her surroundings into blurry lines and boxes, with fog obscuring the clarity of every object, including Grey's face.

Malik thundered. "She’s passed out, Alpha," Melinda said in a small panicky voice. I could spot fear in her eyes. Well, why won’t she be afraid? He took off his hands from Lucca, and Lucca’s body fell freely to the ground. He shifted his gaze to Melinda. It astonishes me that although Malik is blind, he can still accurately guess the respective position of everyone in a room, even though they don’t utter a single word. I managed to look at his face, and his cold gaze shot through me like a blast of ice. “You’re also part of this scheme, right?” Malik grimaced, walking slowly towards Melinda.

"Then call a healer now, Drago." Drago was about to call for a healer but his feet remained rooted on the ground when a woman with amber eyes came in with Raven. "Let me heal him," the woman uttered. "Clarrise?!" Synth uttered in disbelief. ***** YSOBELLA IS SWEATING and her hands are trembling. She couldn't put into words how she felt inside. Her hands are cold, and her head is throbbing. She needed comfort, so she stroked her tummy slowly while silently communicating with her baby.
