“You’re not.” The reflection sighed, as if disappointed. “I was hoping you’d be smarter than that, Anna.” Anna clenched her fists. “Stay away from me.” The reflection’s smile didn’t waver. “I don’t want to hurt you,” it said, voice unnervingly calm. “I want to help you.” Anna frowned. “Help me?” It nodded. “You’re fighting something you don’t understand. The Reflection Game wasn’t a test—it was a doorway. You opened it. And now, there’s no closing it.”

Lub dub lub dub lub dub It's all Neal can hear now. He felt like his heart is going to explode. Is this the feeling when a normal person meet a mob? He doesn't know. He was breathing hard. His nails dug into his palms as he fisted them. Hunter's cold eyes scanned Neal up and down and moved forward causing Neal to step back. The back of his thighs touched the armrest of the couch. Neal startled from the sudden contact, he let out a squeal before falling back. But before he fall Hunter caught his left arm and pulled Neal to his chest.

She pulled out a small hammer and tapped him on the knee with it. His knee sprang up. "Ow!" He exclaimed. "What was that for?" "It's how you check reactions." "I was in a research facility for a long time with lots of experiments done on me. No one ever hit me with a hammer. I don't think that is a real test." Brooke let out a little laugh. "It's a real test. I swear. It checks reactions." "I don't believe you." "Really, it does. Here, let your legs hang. And when I hit here, see it jump. I can also hit it here and it will also jump."

"What? Why are you staring at me?" "You're bleedingyour nose is bleeding" I blinked once, twice before the panic stepped in "am what!!!?" He held out his handkerchief to me but I declined and used mine to dap my nose and truly, I saw blood. I stood up and excused myself to go use the toilet. I walked into the bathroom and tired to soak the handkerchief but instead of water, blood rushed out from the tap. I stepped back in fright then looked at the mirror. I saw a word boldly written on the mirror in fat serial letters

Ryan announces, heading straight for the bassinet, rubbing his hands together, excitement across his face. Rowen jumps out of his chair and cuts Ryan off. "No dadaí. You know the rule. You have to wash your hands first." Ryan is clearly appalled at being deflected. "A little germs aren't going to hurt him, mhac. Ye've got to toughin' him up."

We all jumped up. "Ruby?" he asked and Cherry hurried over. He said a few words to her and she nodded. The doctor looked at the rest of us. "We got the bleeding under control. She had to have several transfusions but it looks like she's going to recover completely. She may need some physical therapy in her leg but she'll be able to regain all her strength in it. You will be able to see her as soon as we get her settled into a room. It should only be a few minutes. I'll send a nurse for you when she's ready." he announced and a wave of relief ran through the entire room.

Gone. I stood there, rooted in place, drenched and trembling, unable to breathe. I had seen a mirror, a living, breathing mirror, not just someone who looked like me. This was me, and she had seen me first. I couldn’t move. I felt frozen. The rain kept pouring, running into my eyes and trickling down my neck, but I remained still, staring at the boutique’s glowing door long after it had closed behind her. My breath came in shallow gasps, each one trembling as if the air itself had turned heavy. It wasn’t just shock. It felt deeper. Something primal.
