The reluctant vow

The reluctant vow

His life—once perfectly structured and enviable—suddenly felt meaningless. The mansion that once symbolized prestige now felt like a prison. Every corner echoed with ghosts—his mother’s absence, his father’s deceit, and Zara’s broken trust. For the first time in years, Regan Kareem felt something he never thought he would—regret. He picked up his phone again, opened Zara’s chat, and typed: “I’ll fix this. Somehow.” But again, his thumb hovered over the send button, and he sighed. He locked the phone and placed it face-down on the table. The screen went dark—just like the space growing inside him.

His Regret

His Regret

“ I thought that I would let you be and keep to myself but I realise now that it was a mistake. I should have confronted you about the welcome party you threw for her when you said you were going to attend a gala. I was an idiot for believing whatever you say. In a sense, this is my fault. I didn't even mention that I wasn't feeling well and I missed my parents. In case you forgot, my parents died. They have been gone for a long time and this is where they are buried. That is why I came here to visit them. I'm not some crazy stalker like you think but yeah, you can think whatever. I don't care anymore. You can continue taking care of Anna. She matters more to you than I do.” I lost my compos

A Regret too Late

A Regret too Late

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... I… I just can't believe Maria is really gone just like that," Richard said, laughing bitterly. "It's all my fault. I'm the one who ruined the good life she should have had. If I had cared more about her and treated her better… If I had been honest sooner and told her everything… Then maybe, things wouldn't have ended like this." He clenched his fists. People always said you should not wait until you lose something to regret it, but he had always believed that would never happen to him and Maria.

My Ex-husband's Late Regret

My Ex-husband's Late Regret

I don’t think about anyone except her, she's my whole world, and I lost her. Regret was a foreign thing to me once, it was something I believed belonged to weaker men, to those who failed to take what they wanted when it was within their reach. But now it sat in my chest like a slow, suffocating weight, tightening every time her name crossed my mind.

Regret Me Not

Regret Me Not

Graham's face darkened as he watched. Meanwhile, Cassidy let out a soft whimper and looked at him with wide, pleading eyes, hoping for him to intervene. But instead of stepping in, Graham grabbed my hand with a look of pure joy, as though he'd just found a lost treasure. "Whitney, you're finally back! I've searched everywhere for you these past few days. I almost thought you really didn't want me or our son anymore… "I've realized I was wrong about you. Cassidy knows she was wrong too. Please, don't hold this against her, okay? Let's start over. We can be happy again."

Regretting That a Wish Came True

Regretting That a Wish Came True

Luke came over to me and asked, "Who's that, Ms. Jacobson?" I replied, "I don't know him. Let's go." I was just about to leave when Austin quickly crawled over and hugged my leg, crying aloud, "Rena! Rena, my sweetheart, don't leave me!"

Regret in Three, Two, One

Regret in Three, Two, One

I paused briefly before answering, "No, thank you." I couldn't afford it. Over the past few years, I had deposited all my income into our joint account. Fearing I'd "waste money on nonsense," Jasper had withdrawn it all in advance. I couldn't even afford treatment. How could I possibly spare money to choose a pretty grave for myself? Just as I ended the call, Jasper burst through the door. He tossed his briefcase onto the couch and said sharply, "A grave plot? Why are you buying a grave?"

Her Regret: I Married the Lottery Bride

Her Regret: I Married the Lottery Bride

"This is a mistake, Sieghart. I know you love me. Only me. You'd never marry her, would you?" I noticed the looks everyone was giving me. Some things must be settled now. I enunciated, "I've lost my love for you, Rachel. You were just too arrogant to see that. You were too proud to even entertain the idea that I would marry someone else. But to be honest, I'd rather die than marry you." I held Seraphina's hand, and the necklace she was wearing was revealed. The letters on it were her acronym. 'SO'. Rachel froze up, and she started shaking.

Resent, Reject, Regret

Resent, Reject, Regret

Then, raspily, she warned, “Do you know what that means, Tobey? Your career. Your future. Your mom!” She let her brewing emotions calm down and closed her eyes. “Listen. I’m grateful as it is to know how much you care for me, but I can’t be more selfish than that. Please, forget me and live a better life—” “This ‘better life’ I envisioned has you by my side, Dee!” He suddenly cut her off, his eyes red. He sounded agitated. “Do you know what my biggest regret is? Not coming home to bring you with me to Eastgene as soon as I got my first pay. Had I done that… you wouldn’t have ever met Brendan in your life!”

Regretting Divorce

Regretting Divorce

Never straight, always bitter when talking to people. "You're so going to regret being this arrogant, Hunter." Cole spat and I chuckled. Someone needs to tell him that I've been regretting for a while now. Not just a while, for over a year actually. My regret started the day I put my signature on the divorce papers. "Just tell me what it is. Is it Tyler stirring up my house to find out my location? Tell him I'm on Columbia island. He can come to get Claire. I won't stop him." I said in a hoarse voice. Cole went silent for a few minutes.

Author says they’re not dragging the story…but he/she is. The whole Claire and Tyler marriage thing was unnecessary. I tried to give it some time and come back to see if it’s complete and it’s still going. I guess the story isn’t for me to finish…
