The Moon's Mercy: Throne of Ashes

The Moon's Mercy: Throne of Ashes

she whispered, her porcelain face chiseled with a terrible grin. "Now look at the clock." Through the sky above the copper cables a massive three-story bronze wheel, the central treasury clock of the capital, began to lower itself through the plum-colored clouds. The second hand of the clock was a thirty-foot double-edged steel guillotine that was falling toward the center of the lead registry with every tick. The time was three seconds to midnight. The steel wire inside Elara's palm gave a volcanic thump, the green numbers in her mind turning into a solid column of white zeros.

THE ARCHIVISTS PAWN: REBIRTH OF THE BURIED QUEEN

"They wanted the Clock of First Causes. And they’ve already set it to the day the North fell." The ground began to shake. The stars in the sky started to move in reverse. "Elara," Kaelen said, his grip on my hand tightening. "The world is rewinding."

Luna of the Menae

Just move the log. I haven’t been able to make it budge an inch. I roll over and look at the clock. Four seventeen a.m. Two solid weeks of getting to be a spectator in the memories of my past lives. I think it’s time to take things into my own hands.

This story was “ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL”!! I love love loved it!! So well written & very descriptive!! The characters had such depth! My favourite characters were Bronx and Kas(Iokaste), of course!! They went through “SO” much, but made it through!!
Sarah Geer
Love this book and this author. She has found a way to write two books that seem like completely different stories but then happen to intertwine at an unexpected point. Ever chapter she posts leaves me wanting more. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

THE REFLECTION GAME

THE REFLECTION GAME

“The hands are moving backward. Maybe we need to set them to the right moment.” Damon glanced at the numbers. “But what’s the right time?” Then, Naomi gasped. “Look at the floor.” Carved into the stone was a date: The day Elias was born. “That must be it!” Anna rushed forward, grabbing the clock’s hands, trying to move them. But as soon as she touched them— The clock tower trembled. Time unraveled. --- The Consequences of Time The group was split apart. Anna found herself in the past—watching her younger self play with her grandmother.

Rewrite The Stars

Rewrite The Stars

But it seems like the 'jackpot' that's gonna change our lives for the better. Drowned in thoughts, I wasn't sure when the clock ticked midnight. A glance to the clock got me jumping to my feet. I packed up the plates and deposited them in the kitchen. Second -churning- thoughts crept into my mind about going to my room with Meg. I decided to crash on the couch instead. It was a really small couch with an uncomfortable structure but I had no choice at the moment. I snuggled myself in it with a wince and let my thoughts run wild as I settled in.

Days Rewritten

Days Rewritten

He returned to a simple routine of basic meals, burying himself in textbooks all day, as if he had gone back to being the quiet, untouchable top student he once was. However, everyone knew. Things had already changed. The Matthias who used to dominate physics class could not even bring himself to raise his hand to answer basic questions. That three-month gap had dealt a nearly fatal blow to his studies, especially in a year where every second mattered. Learning was like rowing upstream. If forward motion stopped, progress would be lost. Matthias was the perfect example. As for me, I stopped paying attention to anyone else. I studied relentlessly, leaving early and coming home late, working e

The clock is out of time but there are rules, it's wrong every three days. I sighed, counting again. Saturday, 21:05: Beep. 1.2..3..120. Day Eight, 21:05: Beep. 1.2..3..120. he said, looking a little more interested in the conversation. "Well, according to you, certain things were discontinued thirteen years ago," I said and he nodded in confirmation, "but according to a few records, that is not the case." "What records?" I gestured toward the files on the side. Soren's eyebrows cinched into a small frown before he leaned forward and grabbed a file. I sat silently as he read page after page in the file. I could see his relaxed frame turning rigid the more he read on. He looked at me, unable to hide his shock and surprise.

End the Mistake

End the Mistake

"Do you know how to completely dissolve a mate bond?" Surprise flickered in Kane's eyes, followed by deep sympathy. "Are you certain you want to do this? That's a sacred vow from the Moon Goddess." "I'm certain." My words were cold and firm. … After dissolving the mate bond, I came to the small cabin at the border with what few belongings I had. Now I had a new goal. I would win the Moon Goddess priestess selection, held once every century. At night, I pored over ancient texts by candlelight, obtained from a friend. These precious records documented the secrets of the priestess selection, knowledge passed down through generations of the Blackstone pack.
