The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)
The room was once again filled with Haven's ear-piercing screams as Raziel's golden crescent moon mark shattered, sending shards of gold flying through the air like a scattering of tiny, gleaming projectiles.
Raziel, however, remained stoic, his face a mask of calm that betrayed no hint of pain or discomfort. He didn't flinch, didn't make a sound, but I knew better. I saw the telltale sign of his Wolf, Nero, stirring beneath the surface - his eyes began to darken, the irises bleeding into an inky blackness that seemed to pulse with a life of its own. It was a subtle sign, but one that spoke volumes about the turmoil that Raziel's Wolf was experiencing.
