Lincoln’s POV What the hell did she mean that I was a rogue? That question lingered in my mind until someone came to get me. He stood tall, and the red of his hair was like the dying embers of a fire. “You,” I began. “I’m Ruby’s brother, Garnett,” he answered like he was bored as the bars slid open. “Move along. We have no time to waste.” The chains on my wrists were opened, and I was tempted to launch myself against this person, to fight him—to get out of here. But something in his stature and the vast sword strapped on his waist made me stop.

“Here is the balance as promised. I do keep to my words.” The man chuckles. “Money!.... You should have brought this earlier. But you are still welcome. We are back to business. So what do you want?” “I want you to shut your mouth. Also, the boys and you need to be on watch out. The Rogue Alpha came to my home. He is asking questions about the death of my friend. Keep yourselves hidden for long. I will always send money across.” “That fucking Alpha. How did the Rogues get into this?”

Every part of me wanted to lean into him, to press my fur against his skin, to breathe in his scent and never breathe anything else again. But I could not. I would not. I was a rogue. He was an Alpha. I had attacked his pack. He had thrown me in a dungeon. This was not some fairy tale where the prisoner fell in love with her captor. This was real life, and real life had taught me that trusting people got you hurt. So I bit him. I sank my teeth into his forearm as hard as I could. I tasted blood. He grunted but did not pull away. I bit harder, and then I yanked myself free from his grip and scrambled to the farthest corner of the cell.

His only interest was inflicting pain for no reason. No one knows how we came about, even we did not know. History got lost somewhere, the history of the crazy werewolves called rogues. I followed Logan to a room which was large, green being the theme color for it. I frowned because it reminded me of the pack we came from and that was probably the point behind it all.

I killed the rogue that was taking my attention then focused on him. Immediately, he collapsed on the floor and that attracted the rogues to him. I raced to his side and slapped the rogue that was about to kill him with my paw. " The Future Alpha is down, I need help" I yelled through the midlink, pulling Alder with my jaw away from the battlefield but the rogues kept coming and I couldn't protect him and fight them off at the same time. I heard growls behind me and saw the West wing guards, coming in their wolf form.

The rogue trashed against Beta Rodney, and the next thing I knew he was rushing at me. His nails elongated into claws – pointy and dangerous – and they slashed the air. The first time, I docked, and he missed my face. The second time, I stepped aside, and he missed my chest. The third time, however, I wasn’t quick enough, and his claws tore into my left hand. I fell to my knees, even as blood spilled profusely. Groaning, I shot a glare to the rogue who had gone crazy, and appeared to be ready to finish me off.

I jump on the back of the rogue and bite his neck, ripping out his throat in the process. I see another rogue replaced the rogue I just took out. Thinking I would be too distracted to help, I jump on the rogue and pull him back freeing the warrior to fight off the last rogue. This rogue and I started to fight. He swiped at my back leg catching my hind quarter.

Now they are ruined. I make my way through the crowd, trying to find the next rogue. Luckily another brave volunteer steps forward. This rogue is much bigger than the last. Before he has a chance to lunge for my neck I let my claws extend from my hand as I partially shift. Rearing my hand back I slice through the rogue's face. Blood is dripping from four deep claw marks across his muzzle but it doesn't stop the rogue from advancing toward me.

Creed was getting unstable as the rogues plunged on him once again, he tried to jerk them off, but his strength was withering. Their leader took the opportunity and charged toward the alpha who was still held down by the rogues, and sliced the alpha on his back with the sword. The rogues left the alpha who was wiggling on the ground as the leader took a second cut on his back, this time, he went unconscious. The leader was too scared to get close to the alpha, and he believed he must be dead. He nodded at the rogues as the moon fade away. They fled into the dark as the alpha changed back to a human, unclad while facing the ground and still unconscious.
