He tosses and only four land with similar markings on the top, large ones. "It's still better than her throw," Linda comforts. Aruin tries next and fails just as spectacularly. He hands the stones to Angel Tiras who rearages them in his hand, placing the sides with small markings facing upwards. He steps forward and throws the stones in a manner that they fly through the air without rolling then only slides across the floor after landing. All ten stones remain with tiny markings on top. I may not have fully forgiven them but I cannot resist a smile. "That was impressive, thank you," I say.

“Circle in! We finish the sacrifice before they—” “I’m not a sacrifice,” Rin snapped louder than she’d meant to. She planted her bare, blood‑slick foot on one of the last intact focus stones at the southern point. The little monolith had been hammered into place with almost reverent care, its sides painstakingly carved. She kicked it. The impact jarred all the way up her leg. Pain flashed white. The stone rocked, wobbled. Not enough. She snarled and kicked again, putting all the fury and terror and stubborn defiance in her body behind it.

Clang— After shattering some falling stones again, Andrius finally arrived in front of the large boulder. With a lift of his hand, the spear thrust out like a dragon, easily smashing the boulder. Bam! Crack, crack— With a dull mechanical sound, the remaining stones in the air continued to fall, and then no additional stones appeared. They succeeded! Andrius had used up too much energy and wiped his sweat, speaking with lingering fear, “Phew... That was too close.”

"It isn't. I don't have any affection for you. I just really need it." I punched him. "What do you think of me clothesline ?!" he just laughed. "He's here. You should shut up." I stared at him before I faced him. Damn, we're away. I saw the headmaster walking towards the podium. He sneezed first before speaking. "News has broken. The stone from district one has been stolen." We all sighed at what the headmaster said. "Stone as in the Trait Stone?" I asked the one next to me. "Yes." I turned to him. "You knew?" he nodded.

She gave no instructions. She simply picked up a handful of scattered, “misplaced” stones, walked to the center of the Hollow Men’s sterile grid, and placed a single, jagged blue stone in the exact middle of the perfect symmetry. Then she stepped back. For a moment, there was silence. Then, a Marshfoot child giggled and ran forward, placing a green stone next to it. A Raven carefully placed a piece of shiny obsidian. A Troll rumbled and set a large, uncut geode at the edge, disrupting the straight line.

' I hopped out of the way and managed to get behind it, I have no forms of weapons on me, so I have to rely on my stealth and speed, I need to get t away from the town, someone could get hurt. I pick up a boulder and wait for it to turn and face me, it takes off to a run and charges at me once more, wait and at the right moment I throw the boulder and it collides with the Rounce, hitting it square in the head, it stumbles and staggers, then shakes it head as though trying to catch itself.

Sure enough, she suddenly let out a loud gasp, and the bowl fell to the floor with a crash. Tears streamed out of her eyes, and she glanced over at Michael pitifully. I watched this familiar scene unfold with cold eyes. "Tally!" Michael darted over and gently took her hand, clearly feeling sorry for her. "Why are you so careless? Were you scalded badly?" His tone was so gentle, and it was one he had never used with me. Tahlia bit her lip. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she stubbornly held them back.

He crouched low among the boulders above the path, hands pressing into the cold stone, feeling the faint vibrations of boots and hooves passing below. He worked fast but carefully. One stone loosened another. Pebbles trickled down first, tapping softly against rock—harmless sounds, easy to miss. Then he drove his shoulder into a larger slab wedged precariously at the edge. It resisted for a breath, groaning under the pressure, before giving way. The mountain answered.

A low, vibrating growl started in his chest, a sound that should have been impossible for a five-year-old boy. "The men in the metal cars are loud," Leo said, his fangs beginning to peek over his lower lip. "They want to put us in the glass boxes again, Mommy. The Stone Sister says they are not allowed." Suddenly, the silver-veined quartz beneath the SUVs erupted. It didn't explode; it grew. The stone rose up like a set of jagged teeth, lifting the heavy vehicles off the ground and tilting them at a precarious angle. The human soldiers scrambled out, their weapons forgotten, as they realized the very ground was hostile to their presence.

The command that sounded in the hot afternoon seemed to channel energy for the people standing behind Adrian. A flash of emotion shone brightly in Adrian's black irises, as if nothing could ever be extinguished. As fast as lightning, blocks of wood and stones flew up against the scorching air, and then fell to the ground with splashes of blood or even bodies that were not alert. Once again the rock flew, this time targeting Adrian's left temple. He darted to the right, dodging nimbly. Occasionally participate in throwing, with large stones in sacks that have been prepared in advance.
