“You need silence. Control. Not curious stares.” He pushed open a door at the end of the hall the one leading to his private chambers. The room was vast, dimly lit by a fireplace that roared as though it had been waiting for them. The air smelled of pine and smoke, of him. Her pulse skipped. “Killian…” He set her down gently on the bed, his hands lingering at her waist as though reluctant to let go. His gaze raked over her her trembling limbs, her pale lips, the faint glow still radiating from her skin.

I stepped further inside, intending to wait by the couch, but the room's clean aesthetic caught my attention. It was the kind of space that would definitely distract anyone’s attention. Everything in it was deliberate. The wide desk, the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the motorised curtains all made the place look orderly and precise. Lorenzo doesn't do books. A full-body shiver moves through me. I thought the other room was massive, but it doesn't come close to the size of this room. It's dark too. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows. We went to the first floor where my room is situated. “That is your room, as you know and beside it is Mr Ares's room. His study is at the far end of his room. She continued as we got to the top floor. The library was really huge and filled with different types of books. The books were all neatly arranged.
