Samantha sighed before looking around the house that had been left behind by their parents when they left the mortal realm and ran with the wolves in the fogs of Paphos Pine Forest. The house had four bedrooms which were interconnected with built-in bathrooms. It was convenient when Samantha thought about it. My mother turned around rolled her eyes at me shook her head and walked up to the large green Adams Family looking house we had stopped in front of. It was hunter green with elaborate wood working detail, which gave it a charm that was more frightening then homie, and the two large stone gargoyles at the end of the drive way were ominous at best. The interior of the cabin was much larger than she had expected with high, slanted ceilings and burnished wooden floors. It would have been light and airy if not for the Gothic decor, everywhere were intricately carved ornaments and furniture, depicting demonic figures and scenes. The thick drapes were drawn, completely blocking any light from entering and painting the inside of the house in shadows. Ornate lamps, placed throughout the room, were the only source of light but even they, struggled to dispel the gloom.
