Aria POV By the end of the day, I’m barely functioning. My feet hurt. My head hurts. My entire existence hurts. And somehow, despite all of that, I still have to make a life-altering decision. The directions Headmaster Ravenwood gave me lead to the oldest part of the academy. The halls here are quieter, darker, the stone walls lined with ancient carvings that almost seem to move if I look at them too long. Magic hums beneath the floor like a living heartbeat. Gone was the comfy living room Raeann thought she was sitting in, and instead the gobsmacked werewolf was sitting on the back of a Cerberus, its three heads peering at her with a half-grin on its face. Raeann was standing in the middle of a large study hall, each wall lined with books, and a tall ladder reached the ceiling on every side, used for access to the higher volumes as students scrambled up to reach whatever it was they were looking for. Wolves across the room roared with excitement as the arena morphed into a warzone of pillars, weights, enchanted pendulums, and targets. Only two academies remained standing: Blackwood Academy and Westly Academy ... known for producing wolves with terrifying physical strength. Scarlet stepped back, knowing this round belonged to the heavy hitters. Grey cracked his knuckles with a grin that promised violence. Ronan simply rolled his shoulders, muscles flexing beneath his uniform like coiled steel. The Westly Academy sent out their strongest wolves ... tall, brutal-looking males with veins glowing faintly from enchantments. Then someone shouted, “START!” It was chaos.

“Alpha, please, don’t tell her I told you. She’d be so angry.” I held up a hand to calm her. “Relax, Bea. I won’t mention your name. I just want to know where Laurel goes every day.” Bea hesitated, looking like a cornered rabbit. “The old training grounds,” she whispered, her voice smaller than it had been just a moment ago. “Near the forest.” “The training grounds?” I repeated, my brow furrowing. “Why there?”

Becky came in front of Raven in her Goddess avatar. "Your Majesty?" Alpha Raven kneels in respect. All the people in the castle kneel in front of Becky.

Energy pulsed and wavered into the space between us. “I will find your sister and see if she is worth saving,” I let him know. Beckham convulsed and then suddenly went still. The darkness retreated dragging with it a phantom of dim dark shapeless light, as it returned to my feet and deposited it there, immobile. I turned to Wyatt, “The first installment of our vow,” I said. The Beast growled in approval from within the confines of Wyatt’s body, his skin bristled as he pushed back with the urge to shift.

I said, leaving him stunned for as second as I walked past him and opened the door up. A ray of flashing soft coloured light, warm toned music and that thick pure alpha choking scent welcomed me in, with a few deep stares now focused on me. Time to act. Raven I'm sitting inside the library again, watching the rain pour down from the sky together with my pack. Glass windows display how heaven is opening up, allowing water to pour down. Hayden, Blake, and I are planning to visit another school to see if they have students that have gone missing. The problem is that outside Magic Academy's borders, all game is fair.
