Inside the crystal cave, an ominous silence settled over them, the faint lights pulsing softly on the walls, as if the cavern itself were breathing. Skylar still lay motionless, her body still warm from the fire magic that had awakened within her. Damian and Nathaniel watched her with tense focus, but neither of them could do anything-they could only wait. Then, the entrance to the cave suddenly opened, as if an invisible force had parted the crystals. The darkness did not invade; instead, a tall, commanding figure stepped into the light: Beatrice Morris, the headmistress of the academy.

The name WAVA was inscribed on almost all the walls inside the Academy. Jaden was curious to know the meaning as he asked Williams from behind; "What's the meaning of WAVA dad?" Williams glance at him through the front mirror inside the car, and smile. "It Werewolves and Vampires Academy." "Wow, I never imagined a place like this could be in existence. It's beautiful, I already like it." Jaden said, happily.

•• Seleste’s POV ••• The iron gates of the Alpha Academy, the famous Ravenwood Academy loomed ahead, towering over me like steel sentinels. Everyone around me looked at me. Everyone was curious about who I was, but they all knew that a new student would be enrolled here today. It seemed to me that they were already expecting me.

Panels of dead holo‑screens hung askew from its sides, some still sputtering half-images. At its crown, a shattered **beacon** flickered sporadically, beams of sickly green and pink light lancing into the polluted sky, then cutting out. The air up here was colder, thinner. The wind knifed through my torn clothes, carrying the tang of ozone and burnt circuitry. Between us and the base of the beacon, the rooftop was… occupied. A massive chimera‑like **drone‑beast** hunched on all fours, its metal body heaving with slow, mechanical breaths.

You'd think after seventeen years, I'd be used to it. You'd be wrong. "Aria Blackwood," I read aloud, tracing the elegant calligraphy with my thumb. No one in Pine Hollow received mail with such beautiful writing. Hell, most of us were lucky if the bills arrived without coffee stains.
