Gowl seemed to love it but its eyes appeared to be of deep sadness, as though it understand what his owner meant. "We're both tired, buddy. I know. But we have to warn the prince of what's to come. We've foreseen it. And forgive me for I'm gonna need your help even though the king had banned the use of messenger birds in the kingdom, ever since you failed him countless times. But not me, Gowl. You have my trust because we are bound to each other."

"As I was saying, the oracle is going to administer the oath and the winner will take the girl, Tessa Black and be the next alpha after my retirement. Let's all enjoy and behave," he finished with a dry smile that no one fared return. The oracle then walked to the front and spoke," may the two walk forward." He had such a strong voice for such an old man. Jared and I walked out and the oracle produced a bowl and his assistant gave him water. He gave the bowl to the man beside him and poured a bit of the water in it. "This is the sacred water from the sacred river of the pack. Whatever is said after taking it, is binding and can't be broken.

Before the servant returned, Elder Phillipa continued, "Athena, remember the words of our ancestors: 'Purity of heart, strength of spirit, and loyalty to the pack.' Repeat the oath after me." Athena's voice echoed through the room, "I pledge my heart, my spirit, and my loyalty to the pack. May the purification ritual cleanse me of past transgressions and guide me toward a path of righteousness." She casually recited. The servant returned with a delicate, gemstone-encrusted goblet. "The Sacred Elixir," Elder Helga announced. "Drink, Athena, and let the pack's energy course through you." Athena accepted the goblet, her eyes locked on the shimmering liquid while the elders waited in anticipatio

Those green emerald eyes drained away, replaced by an eerie, pale white that glowed faintly in the darkness. Ariadne was amazed with its beauty and quit surprised not ever seeing on ever. Moreover, a small great horned baby owl was resting itself on her shoulder. Its eyes were open and it has golden eye with black circles around it. It has pure white fur with black highlights its chest with thick feathers around its neck just like a fur. It keeps making a small ‘hooo’ sound every time she jumps. Eve hiss at her owl in a low voice. “Marion! You have to keep quiet! If anyone hear you, they will catch us and we’ll be punished for sure. Do you know how hard it is to hide from Khalid?”
