The once vibrant colours of the surroundings have faded, drained of their life and vitality. Shadows dance in the dimly lit space, casting elongated figures that mirror the desolation within.

A wave of dread and sorrow washed over her, her heart thundering in her chest. She sensed a looming sadness in him, her heart sinking as she faced the impending doom.
