Tear Me Apart (An M/M Dark Romance)
The private jet hummed steadily beneath my feet as it carved through the night sky, engines vibrating with restrained power. Outside the oval window, darkness stretched without end, vast and indifferent, broken only by distant cities glowing like constellations fallen onto the earth. Italy faded behind us slowly, its coastline dissolving into shadow as we crossed the Adriatic. Escape was an illusion. Men like me never truly left a battlefield. We simply changed altitude.
I stood near the window, one hand resting lightly against the cool glass, feeling the faint tremor of motion travel through bone and muscle. Below, civilization continued untouched, headlights drifting along highways, towers
