Chase closes his eyes and inhales deeply, placing his hand over mine and holding it there as if it’s the only thing keeping him grounded.
“Finley and I, we don’t have a good relationship, but if it’s meant to be, then it’s meant to be,” he says with a defeated sigh.
The rest of the day passes without any further drama and I manage to avoid my parents. I don’t want to speak to them until I’ve had a chance to speak with Sage.
After dinner, Archie and Dillon go to help Chase pack up his stuff and move it to our apartment whilst I call Sage.
