He growls softly, and I watch Mango go rigid, staring at him.
“Stephen, what are you doing?” Kieran asks him.
“Mate,” he growls softly, still prowling toward Mango. “I’ve been searching for you. You’ve always stayed just out of reach, just far enough that I could smell you, but never find you.”
