"Alright, Mommy is going to tell you a bedtime story, okay? So you can go to sleep safe and sound and snug. How about the one with the astronaut?" She began. "The astronaut is standing in the space station. Outside the window, he sees the limitless expanse of space. Then, suddenly, hears the sound of someone knocking on the window—" "It's a ghost! A ghost! The ghost is outside the window, right?!"

Please, let me sleep here. She stared at him with her big doe eyes, pleading. Travis Blake had a headache. “Can you stop being like this tonight?” Hailey replied, “You’re the one who scared me! You took me to a cemetery, said there was something behind me, and even told Katie to tell me ghost stories! I know what you’re doing, you did all this on purpose. You know Katie likes horror movies, and you know she’s been using your cinema room to watch flicks lately. So that’s why you asked her to do it.”

She didn't want to hear anymore of the frightening story. "Don't tell me you're all scared. It's a myth, I made it up!" John smirked, his eyes gazing at the scared faces of his girlfriend and friends. "Ha ha ha, scared? I've never been scared of anything in my life!" Rocky roared in laughter as he rose from the ground. "Scary stories don't scare me. I'm gonna pee!" He uttered still grinning. "Don't wander far into the woods, you never know who you'll meet." John warned in a playful but spooky voice.

When her mother was lulling her to sleep that night, she read the expression on her face and interpreted it right-Fear "What are you scared of?" She asked softly "What I'll see on the night before my birthday" she answered with a small voice. "Don't worry, it won't be bad this time, I'll pray for you" and then her mother prayed until she fell asleep.

"I'm scared." The whispers called to me again, nudging me forward to the stairs leading to the attic. I hardly ever came up here and it felt almost unfamiliar to do so. Uncle Al told me a lot of ghoul stories to keep me away while my father always debunked them when I asked to spend the night in his bedroom. The fond childhood memories gradually inked into a nightmare. A nightmare?

Brandon dismissed the nannies and told them he was going to put them to sleep. “Daddy, Please tell us a bedtime story,” Audrey said and Brandon nodded in response. Every single child in the town grew up hearing these stories. Unlike other cities where their bedtime stories centers on royal fantasies, and fairies, the bedtime stories they listened to was filled with horror. It was the stories of wolves with glowing eyes, and the shadowy figures that lured you into the trees, only for your screams to echo back hollow, and unanswered. Though the stories had believable theories, not everyone readily believed them. Some called them folklores wrapped in superstition. Some believed they were old stories, made up to

"I'd rather go to bed early than listen to one of your horror stories, Marcus!" She started backing away from the fire, waving at everyone. "You guys have fun," she called, her voice already fading into the darkness. "But don't blame me if I get nightmares just from hearing you scream!" "So dramatic," Marcus laughed, turning back to the expectant group. "My stories aren't even that scary…" "Oh, it won't be fear. It'll be boredom!" she shot back, laughing as she disappeared. He paused dramatically, rolling his eyes at his sister's comment. The forest fell quiet around us as everyone waited for the story to begin.

I asked frowning, I have never heard about this. Ray laughed, “ It was in the bedtime stories, my mother and granny used to recite them to us to make us scared of going out in the middle of the night. you know how pups are! As soon as they start shifting that’s what they all want to do for a long time. The male pups even go out at night to run through the woods. So to keep me and my brothers safe, my mother and granny told us this myth. How at night a creature who is not man nor beast roams the landing of woods and if pups go there, he will eat them.”
