Aurora and the ruthless Lycan king
Gabby had buried half her face into Seris’ shoulder, muttering curses every time the music crept into that uncanny high-pitched warning tone.
Halfway through, the first real jump scare hit. A ghostly figure appeared in the mirror behind a character, paired with a sudden screech of sound. Gabby shrieked and threw her popcorn straight into the air, making everyone around her burst into laughter—even Cato cracked a grin.
“WHY do I do this to myself?!” Gabby whispered, heart racing.
“You love it,” Seris teased, patting her knee.
Another scare followed, and this time it was Rory who gasped and instinctively grabbed Seris’ arm. “Okay, that one wasn’t fair. That mirror thing—classic, but rude.”
