But my tummy still felt icky. The car ride was super quiet. Mommy kept checking on me in the mirror with her worried face. I stared out the window, thinking about the last time something really scary happened. hose people at my school. The ones with the big cameras who yelled stuff I didn't understand. They said words like "biological" and "paternity" that sounded important but made no sense. Security had to really push through them to get me to Susan's car. She held my hand so tight it hurt, but I didn't tell her because she looked really scared.

"She's hot" My mum stretched her hand towards him and playfully slapped his thigh, making him laugh but the laughter died down when the real killing started. It was terrifying, making the body go cold. "Jesus Christ" My mum muttered in fear while Kelsie was still calm, chewing her popcorn. Lord. There was a really terrifying scene between the creatures and the humans then a frightening sound that went along with each actions. "Is he gonna pluck out his eyes?" My mum asked shakily, even I could feel myself shaking.

"James, slow down a bit." Dad chuckled, glancing back at me, his eyes twinkling. "Gummy bear, check the bag beside you, something is there and you’ll love it “ I unzipped the bag, curiosity building, my heart racing. And then, chaos erupted. Mom's screams pierced the air, shrill and terrified. "James, watch out! Watch out for the truck!" Time froze. Crash. The world went dark. The memory shattered, leaving me gasping, back in the present, the pain and fear still raw.

Gabby had buried half her face into Seris’ shoulder, muttering curses every time the music crept into that uncanny high-pitched warning tone. Halfway through, the first real jump scare hit. A ghostly figure appeared in the mirror behind a character, paired with a sudden screech of sound. Gabby shrieked and threw her popcorn straight into the air, making everyone around her burst into laughter—even Cato cracked a grin. “WHY do I do this to myself?!” Gabby whispered, heart racing. “You love it,” Seris teased, patting her knee. Another scare followed, and this time it was Rory who gasped and instinctively grabbed Seris’ arm. “Okay, that one wasn’t fair. That mirror thing—classic, but rude.”

Jose and I had been brought inside by the nanny, sitting at the small table in the kitchen with glasses of milk. I still remember the silence. I mean, the house was always quiet when Mom and Dad weren't around. But something felt off about the silence now. I felt anxious, like something bad was about to happen. Then came the sound, a sound I'd never heard before. It was a distant, horrific screech of tires, followed almost instantly by a deep, resonant *thu* that shook the glass in my hand. I would have assumed it was thunder if the sky outside wasn't perfectly blue.

I looked up and my heart skipped a beat. “What – what was that?” I whispered to myself and my mind answered to me while taking me back to the thing happened on the Mile road when I was coming to the party. That growl sounded same as the one I heard on that road. It was scary and creepy. The growling began to grow making me skip more beats and I gulped. At that instant, something moved behind the bushes. My hands and legs began to shake like a leaf while my heart began to race. I could feel my death coming towards me as those bushes swayed. I began to move backwards when the thing behind the bushes jumped up and I screamed to the top of my lungs…

Jamie asked, resting his chin on his fist, which was supported by his other arm. “No. Once, we were watching a comedy, and I started laughing really hard, and out they came.” Luckily, I’d been at Lucy’s house in their movie room, and only Emma and Lucy had been there. “And the other time was when Lucy almost hit a dump truck on the highway last week.” Lucy’s driving could scare a person who can’t die into thinking they were going to die.

But I can hear music, which creeps me out! When I heard them speak, I breathed a sigh of relief because the terrifying segment was over. I then dig my hand into the bowl of popcorn and munch on it, my gaze wandering away from the movie. I screamed as the light went out, leaving the entire mansion in complete darkness. “Who turned out the lights?” I shrieked as I drew closer to Scarlet. I heard the popcorn bowl fall from my grasp and land on the floor. Popcorn, rest in peace. “I don't know,” she replied, clutching my hands in hers.

"Of course not. We can handle this, we are not scaredy cats like you, it's nothing just a normal movie, so we are fine." Susan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've seen scarier things, so there is no way that this simple movie would scare us, if you're scared, then admit it." Just as they exchanged confident glances, a sudden, spine-chilling jump scare jolted them all. Luna and Susan let out simultaneous shrieks, clutching onto each other with wide eyes. Zayn couldn't help but chuckle at their reaction. "Really, no fear at all, huh?"
