She squeezed it two more times before dropping it in the water close to her chest. Leaning back and relaxing, she let her hands drop on either side of the bath tub. Her left hand reached out for the bottle of wine which laid just below the tub and she lifted it up. Deciding not to bother refilling the now empty glass, she brought the bottle to her lips and tipped her head backward, gulping the red liquid down in a rush. She choked and coughed, placed the bottle down and chuckled sadly. "Omar, I'm really sorry." Hiccup. "I'm really really sorry. But I needed this break, at least I thought that was what I needed.... Bit I miss you terribly...."

With quick motion, he slashed into the sand beneath his feet, creating a makeshift pit as the raging winds tried to tear him apart. When the storm subsided hours later, the next challenge surfaced. Sskkkrrtt… A sharp, unnatural scraping sound came from beneath the sand ahead of him. Rayden instantly tensed, his hand never leaving the sword’s hilt. The sand before him trembled, then exploded upward as a monstrous creature burst out. An Obsidian Glass Scorpion, a vicious spicerermony beast the size of a horse. Its jet-black shell gleamed like volcanic glass, and its long tail ended in a crystal stinger dripping corrosive venom.

I tried to think of an explanation that would sound reasonable. Dresna blurted out, “Are you some kind of witch”? A witch was not the comparison I expected. “There’s something weird going on with you, Skye. You saved my life on the mountain, and now at the Drock...” “It was the Drax that got to those two,” I said, trying to sound convincing. “Seriously, Dresna, you know what that concoction did to you.” We reached Dresna’s home, and I stood for a moment contemplating whether to expand on my answer, but noting his questions had subsided, I decided to let any further response lapse.

The symbol in the middle was also 2 pieces running vertically with a curve at the top on both sides, representing a skull almost. This, encased within the jagged circle, represented The Vampire and The Hunter. What a fitting mark.

, he then gestured me to follow him and said "come along.” He stepped outside with me beside him. The air was cooler now. The sun was going down. As we walked, Cobra pointed at a man sitting near a log with a guitar resting on his lap. “That’s Scorpion,” he said quietly. “The burn scar on his face was from a car accident years back. He used to play in shows although he was not famous, but he tried.” Scorpion noticed us looking and gave a shy wave. His scar ran across his cheek like melted wax. He smiled anyway.

Just when I'm about to explode with anticipation, my panther lets out a horribly loud screeching roar, throwing her full body weight at the deer. We collide, and I hear her teeth ripping through the deer's thick skin and piercing its soft flesh underneath. I lay back and watch in sick fascination; I know she could kill this thing with her eyes closed. And then its dead, blood leaking out of its neck and belly. Its eyes are still wide open, permanently frozen in that horrified look. Just as she's sitting back of her hunches to begin her well-earned meal, a noise sounds to the left. Sounds like a twig snapping.

The police officer was about to walk out with Clover when he took two steps and saw a gloomy man in black tights standing at the doorway. He was none other than Scorpio, one of the Twelve Golden Zodiacs. He possessed a killing aura and was chilly and scary. The two police officers automatically came to a halt when they saw him, not daring to approach him. They were concerned that this individual was too dangerous to approach and that it was best not to. "Who are you? Get out of my way!" Faced with the police officer's fumigate, Scorpion stood firm in the doorway, even pulling out a blade as gleaming as silver from his waist.

I rounded a final stand of pines and skidded to a stop, unable to parse what I was looking at for a second. Jack had stopped too, half-shifted with his claws and fangs out and gleaming in the last of the twilight, facing off with…well, with a giant magical attack scorpion. It stood a head shorter than Jack at the—shoulders? Did arthropods have shoulders? Probably not, but the part of it that would’ve been shoulders on a mammal—but the presumably venomous tip of its massive, wickedly curved tail had to be ten feet up in the air. The thing made a horrid, spine-shivering noise as it moved, the tail waving menacingly.

But I have to hope they will follow the plan and let everyone else out before making their escape. As the battles continue and the day wanes, the torches get lit. At one point, I see Zaiden is also able to shift a hand into a lion claw. I’ve watched her all day, but Tana hasn’t been able to shift. I’m worried about her going after the Commander if she’s unable to tap into her strength. When they call a kestrel and a hawk, I refocus my attention to the battle. While a kestrel is a bird of prey, they are the smallest of the falcon species. Hawks are actually one of their greatest predators.
