Elias raised his arm covered in steel to support it. Unexpectedly, one jumped behind Lily, it opened its mouth full of long, pointed fangs, drooling at Lily. She screamed in despair, reaching out her right hand towards the beast. Suddenly, a beam of light from the red crescent-shaped birthmark in the center of Lily's right palm hit the beast. Both animals were immediately drawn to the roadside stand of two stone statues. Neither Lily nor Elias understood what was happening. Lily's body seemed to exude that power, so she lost her strength and fainted. Elias whirled around, taking her in his big palm.

Furious.” The scout managed to say. The scout grabbed my wrist suddenly and his fingers were slick with blood. “They knew the patrol routes. They knew the weak doors and the blind spots. They moved through the packhouse like someone had walked them in.” He said.
