Looking through the scope of the magnified glass attached to her weapon, she held her breath as the chest of one of her target’s bodyguards appeared on the crisscross mark, which was immediately followed by the bald head of the yakuza boss. She moved the gun slightly once more to the right while maintaining the crisscross mark on his head before she squeezed the trigger. A second passed before the man dropped like a log, which prompted his men to instinctively draw out pistols from their inner jackets as they scanned the area for where the bullet came from. Kimberly immediately returned the gun and leather gloves into her suitcase before making her way out of the building through the emerge

I said to Damien. “What was what?” He replied. I recognized that sound, it was a compound silencer. A tool The Academy gave us. It was specifically ingrained not to be able to be picked up by a Vampires super sensitive hearing. A lot of Hunters used them, I even had before.

A seasoned scout standing to Jax's left slowly lowered his tactical rifle, his chest heaving as his hands physically shook against the metal stock. "But sir... I don't know if I can," the scout stammered, his voice tight with a deep, instinctual panic that overrode his training. He was asking a wolf to fire on the face of his own Alpha. "I mean... they look just like you and Jax. And..." The scout swallowed hard, looking physically ill as his trembling finger pointed deeper into the shadowed cavern.

"State your location, tracker." "I’ve been assigned to a extraction convoy for an outer-sector scouting run tomorrow at dawn," Tracy stated, her voice carrying a rare, nervous vibration over the secure link. "The terrain is highly volatile. Can your unit provide secondary cover on the ridge?" Calculating the layout of the upcoming weekend cycle, I replied, "Confirmed. My blade will be on your flank." Tracy paused, her scent turning slightly anxious even through the audio feed. "Will the Supreme Alpha tolerate your unit deploying away from his central security grid for a full sun?"

“As y’all know, Maliyah has been tasked with assisting me as scout leader. She has fought Alastor numerous times and can help give y’all an idea of what you’ll be up against. You will all also train with her in her dragon form from time to time.” Everyone in the room nods in acknowledge and doesn’t question my being in the room. Their survival bags are packed and they are each give a potion created by Dimitri to help with their scent. Dimitri found a way to change their scent so they appear rogue but he couldn’t make their scent disappear. They requires the death of a human and of course we aren’t going to start killing them. His watchful eyes scan the surroundings, ensuring the safety of their journey. Hunter, adorned with his trusty spear and a dagger tucked into his wrap, takes on the crucial role of scout, swimming at the forefront of the group. His weapon of choice, a sleek and sturdy spear, is poised to strike at a moment's notice, ready to defend against any threats that may emerge. The gleaming blade of his dagger serves as a versatile tool for close-quarters combat or precise underwater tasks.

Tristan moved forward, his boots gripping the icy metal. The outrider—a bipedal scout-walker armed with twin rotary cannons—was stomping along just ahead of the lead transport. The pilot inside the glass canopy hadn't noticed the *Mammoth* yet. Tristan broke into a sprint. He leaped off the edge of the cargo roof, diving directly toward the walker’s glass canopy. The pilot’s head snapped up. His eyes went wide with shock. He jerked the control sticks, trying to bring the rotary cannons up.

Steele had a look on his face that I hadn’t seen before. “Good.” Maddox didn’t look up from the computer. “This is for you.” Spencer held out a syringe in front of me. “It’s a tracker. Since we aren’t in the same pack, this will allow us to track you at all times. I need to put it under your skin.” “I have one already.” Spencer smiled. “I’m sure you do, but this is a different frequency that works with our system.” “Well…” Looking down, I wasn’t sure where I wanted to put it. “The one I have is in my arm.”

The Mechanical Logic of the Scout Aria sat in the passenger seat, her "Piercing Gray Eyes" scanning the "Labyrinth" of the roadside forest. She held a "High-Frequency" thermal scanner—the only piece of "Gilded" tech they allowed—searching for the "Heat-Signatures" of "Recovery Scouts" or "Sovereign" ambush teams. Her "Fragile Strength" was now reinforced by a "Ruthless" protective instinct. "We have 'Movement' in the 'Three-O-Clock' sector," Aria whispered, her voice "Incisive" and steady.

And I did. A shiver shot down my spine. My blood ignited. My fangs grew sharper. Mason was no longer just a looming threat. He was making his claim. I sensed Sienna’s footsteps approach, silent but urgent. “Do you recognize the scout?” she asked, her voice low and tense. “Riker. Trained alongside me as a kid.” I kept my gaze fixed ahead. “He had a mate and two pups.” “Gods.” Her voice trembled before hardening with determination. “How close to the territory line?”
