See You My Mate Novels & Stories

“How can my mate… my mate… be my enemy? No, no, this can’t be happening. The Moon God wouldn’t do this to me!” Tears welled in her eyes, blurring her vision. She turned and ran to her room, collapsing onto her bed, burying her face in the soft covers as sobs wracked her body. “I searched for my mate… my whole life, I searched,” she choked out between cries. “And now he’s here, standing before me… but I can’t accept him. I can’t, because he’s my enemy. He came here to kill, not to claim me.”

He said as if that meant something. "What? What are you talking about?" "You're my mate." "You already said that. What's exactly is a mate?" He stood in the middle of the room. "A mate is someone who you are destined to be with for the rest of your life. It's why you feel the sparks when I touch you or why you're always thinking of me." "Who says I think about you?" I snapped. "Do you not?" He eyed me.

"It's fine, I promise. Thank you. You holler at me if you hear anything or need me for anything." Jane nodded, and gathered her change of clothes for bed, but stopped and glanced down at one of the drawers. "Hey Alex." He stood in the doorframe staring at her pretty features. "Yes?" "You said everyone has a mate. Have you found yours yet?" “Tell her”, his wolf hissed. “Finally, you can tell her.”

"Probably something about the pack alliance." He nodded and stood to leave. Just as he reached the door, I looked up and met his gaze. "Aiden," I said, my voice dangerously soft. "Your scent… it's almost identical to his. Are you sure you're not my mate?"

“ We won't work out “ “ Didn't you mate with her? “ “ No I didn't” “ Why? “ “ Because I have a mate , and she's right here”

"You told me you have a brother- a twin brother. His name is Xavier.” "I have a twin brother,” I smiled. “Cool." This was helping. Even though I had people here with me, I still felt alone. It was nice knowing I have a family out there. "What else?" "A mate," she said. What’s a mate? She read the confusion on my face and said, “That was the same question I asked you when you said mate." She said then smiled, "Mate is kinda like your soulmate. Your other half. Your partner and your everything. You said that having a mate is the best thing that has happened to you."

I throw on the jacket and then I am satisfied with what I see in my reflection. I am not so excited about the party. I am just looking forward to the after-party. When I finally get to have my mate all to myself. I grin at my reflection. I can see my wolf through. He seems to be satisfied too, like the cat that ate the canary. Anything good for our mate is good enough for him. This is going to be good, I promise him.

“Because I want to know what your mate has to say about this” “My mate’s words would not make a difference at this point” I said, keeping my eyes on his as he walked toward me, towering my body. Having received the signal from Artur, I knew that my mate was waiting outside for me, just needing a signal “what makes a difference to me is YOUR words and your point of view in this” “Oh really?”

“From the moment I saw you.” I swallowed, unable to find my voice, overwhelmed by the intensity of the mate bond. Could he sense my desperation? The fragile hope that maybe, just maybe, tonight would be the night everything changed?

Our glass clicked in the quiet apartment. The food was delicious, Dave must have seen how tense I was and he tried to make me laugh throughout our meal. He told me stories about his first time In London. How he had asked a total stranger to look after his belongings while he placed a telephone to his friend and he had said "Sure mate. Anetin you want a mate." a few minutes later the guy was gone and so were his belongings. Since then he was weary of anyone who called him 'Mate.'
