Double Claimed: Marked by Two

Double Claimed: Marked by Two

I spat at them, giving them one last look before walking out of the room, my hips swaying, head raised high as the sound of my booth echoed loudly, leaving behind it, clear warnings to the corrupted elders. ___________ I walked into my room, the air felt different. Something hid behind the corners. I was certain of it, i shut my eyes, straining my ears and I heard it. A breathing, different from mine. A scent that wasn't mine filled the room. A small smile crept unto my face as I opened my eyes. “Hiding behind the corners, I see.” I said, eyes scanning the room. Then he emerged from the corners, his steps slow and calculated. A huge grin on his face.

Stalked By My Boyfriends Best Friend

Stalked By My Boyfriends Best Friend

But every corner could be hiding Dale, waiting for us to make the next move. I take a deep breath, steady myself, and peek around the corner. There’s a flash of movement and another shot rings out This one grazes my side, and I grunt, quickly ducking back. My vision goes blurry for a moment, but I force myself to focus. “He’s not playing around,” Rich says, his voice a low murmur. “No kidding,” I reply, my teeth clenched. “This ends now.” I glance at Rich, signaling him to move to the back door. He nods, silently creeping out of view.

No one. She rounded a corner, and at the far end of the hallway, she saw several figures rushing by. They were moving so quickly that, without any light, she wasn’t able to tell who or what they were, but their erratic movement indicated to her that they were scrambling, attempting to find someone or something, possibly an exit.

The Reborn Luna

With each passing moment, my worry deepens, urging me to take action. A flicker of movement catches my eye, drawing my attention to the far end of the room. There, at the extreme corner, lies a figure—a faint silhouette against the dim light filtering through the narrow windows. Without a second thought, I dash toward the mysterious figure, my footsteps quick and determined.

The CEO'S Dead Wife: A Marriage Made In Hell!

“Focus. Do not rush of that you don't get into their trap.” The van turned the corner, the tires screeching faintly against the asphalt. I followed, keeping low, moving with calculated steps, my eyes never leaving it. Every reflection in a nearby window, every sheen on the wet pavement, I checked for masked operatives. Every time I saw one, my stomach twisted.

The Consumed Series

The Consumed Series

"I parked around the corner. I wanted to surprise you." I sidestep the door and smooth my palms along the wall, looking for the light switches. I find the panel and finger the switches, looking for the one that lights up the back end of the building. I flick the last two and lights ignite, the dim incandescence chasing away most of the shadows.

SIR

SIR

Stay low and quiet and always aware of what’s behind you. We round a sharp corner near the loading bays, my eyes searching for an exit sign, when the sudden sound of coarse laughter echoes from the center of the floor. I stop instantly, throwing my arm back to pin Lucas against the wall behind me. Just twenty feet ahead, a group of four men are gathered around a makeshift wooden table, their attention completely consumed by a high-stakes card game. I scan the area, spotting a secondary corridor that leads toward the fire escape, but a stack of metal refuse bins blocks the direct path. I try to guide Lucas around the edge of the shadow, shifting carefully, but his heel catches on a loose piec

My Baby's Daddy

She secretly clenched her fists and urged herself to seize this opportunity. Seeing that the assistant had entered a corner corridor, she hurriedly chased over. Falling For My Brother's Best Friend

Falling For My Brother's Best Friend

Cole. My eyes adjust to the darkness beyond the lamplight, scanning for movement. Nothing. But I know what I heard. I stand slowly, silently, and move across the room in the blind spots—the areas where someone hiding wouldn't be able to see me clearly. I reach the wardrobe and position myself to the side of the door. One. Two. Three. I yank it open. Someone explodes out of the wardrobe, swinging at me. Their fist connects with my jaw and I stumble back, cursing.
