Chapter 4 : The Past Aqua didn't always have to hide who she was. She didn't always have to keep secrets. There was a time when her life was filled with laughter, love, and the open embrace of her unique heritage. Born in the hidden town of Silver Cove , Aqua grew up surrounded by family and friends who cherished her for who she was. Her striking white hair, a mark of her lineage, was a source of pride, not something to be concealed.

“You’re our lost prince!” I go very still, looking between the two of them. “Wait,” I say, frowning like Anton is, “isn’t a Selkie…is it the same in our mythology? A Selkie is like a seal shifter?” “Yes!” Laila says, laughing with eager delight and nodding as she glances at me and then turns her eyes back to Anton. “A seal, like me! You can shift into a seal! But no one’s been born with the power to breathe under water in so long – you’re – you’re foretold!”

The world serpent in Norse mythology, and he is Artemis’s mate. I move past them both towards the entrance and inside. I move further forward and out into a city. Passing other sirens, but their colour is different. The camouflage with the ice so their tails and fins are white, their scales are pearl like. I move further in as the sirens surround me and I wait for the leader of the colony to come forward. He does and I smile at him, my friend Samuel. “Old friend, it is good to see you. You know why I am here?” I ask him and he bows to me and so do the others.

A head of a sealion, the cloak fell away, revealing a humanesque body of a woman, but covered with thick fur and webbed hands and feet. The men blinked, hesitating to answer as I got to my feet smiling at the beautiful woman. Her large black eyes moved, seeing my expression and she stepped back. "You're a Selkie!" I squeaked in delight. I turned slightly, seeing the men look at me confused. I blinked at them, then the woman. "You're an original Fey." I smiled at her. The muscle in her brow twitched. "Tell me what you know about my kind?" My head tilted, thinking for a moment, unsure what she meant, but I felt an odd longing, buried in a fog that covered my mind outside of my base emotions an

It covered more than anything else I had been given so far. I look away from the outside and to the book I had been given. The Water Species I furrow my brow. The water species, huh? I wonder if this had anything to do with Bacudal telling me I needed a river nymph to uncloak myself. I flip open the first page, to what looks like a table of contents. After fairies there's the Merfolk that were created by Poseidon god of the Sea they live in the underwater kingdom of Oceana they can use water magic and members of the royal family can even summon storms the merfolk also have the ability to take on a human form however a merfolk can't be on land for more than 9 hours at a time merfolk usually have blue or green hair, blue or green eyes, pale skin and blue, green, purple, pink, yellow or red tails

Arrival of Other Supernatural Beings As the alphas settled in, other supernatural beings began to arrive. From the depths of the oceans came the merfolk delegation, led by Queen Nerida. Her hair flowed like seaweed, and her eyes held the mysteries of the deep. Beside her, the seal shifters, known as selkies, moved with fluid grace, their leader, Kaelen, offering a respectful nod to Reid. "Alpha Reid," Nerida spoke, her voice like the gentle lapping of waves. "The sea brings its greetings."

Edges are all smoothed out most of the time. I took a deep breath to calm down my spiraling nerves before walking back to Selma and my siblings. The fishing village was about a mile away from my home. It was a quiet place with most of the activity happening only near the beach. Seafood vendors everywhere at the tiny market square and there were a few people selling fishing and boating merchandise. Besides these, there were several witchy looking women selling interesting paraphernalia. "They are called sea witches," Iona explained, "They draw their magical powers from the ocean and can also influence the tides and safety of the voyagers and ships."

Kareela is the elder's great-granddaughter. We went inside a room where old books are kept, there we saw an old lady holding a book that is the same size as the book of origin, and beside the old lady is the man who has wings. I held Zale by the end of his clothes and looked at him with a warning look and he just nodded out of submission. "You're here fated child of the goddess Tana and the fated child of the goddess Sedna, we would like to ask of you." I would like to just go out of this very room because this old lady is creeping the hell out of me. Her eyes are pure white, with no signs of the pupil or what-so-ever. Zale hid behind me, as if he can hide, he is basically taller than me.

Mariana’s excitement spill out once again, doing a few jumps this time. “Those people are real?! Do they live on those flying rocks too?!” Mariana asked eagerly. “Of course, they are real,” answered Marina. “And no. The earth-dwelling dwarves, the little people, live underground. There might even be some living under our village! The sirens, the fish people, live in vast seas and oceans.” “Seas and oceans?” Mariana tilted her head as she heard an unfamiliar word. “Seas are like big basins of water. Imagine our village is a basin. Then, fill it up with water. Lots of them! Seas, however, are bigger than our village, my child. Seas are a lot of villages put together!” Marina exclaimed.
