Chapter 19 SERENA’S POV The air in the room vanished. As I stared at Ophelia’s perfectly manicured hand on Kai’s chest, the Siphon power within me roared, feeding off the jealousy that burned me. "Get your filthy hands off him," I said. My voice wasn't a plea; it was a command that rattled the windowpanes. Ophelia didn't flinch. She rolled her eyes, straightened her emerald silk gown, and sauntered towards me. "And who is going to make me? You? A wolfless whore?”

And I already know who’s behind most of that shit. Serena, Clara, and Delphine. The warrior’s fugly daughters. The three biggest bitches in this pack. Serena is a little older than us by 5 months. Clara is just a little younger than us by six months, and Delphine is two years younger than us. Always talking shit about us. Always whispering about our looks. Always laughing at us because we look different. They never say that shit to our faces though. They are never that bold, because those bitchs know better.

"The localized dark rift is expanding. Our standard energy dampeners aren't holding it. We might need to evacuate the coastal settlement." Serena didn't panic. She closed her eyes, taking a deep, rhythmic breath. As she inhaled the crisp sea air, a sudden, brilliant flash of golden light ignited deep within her iris, accompanied by a soft, silver-white aura that enveloped her hands. She carried no weapon, no crown, and no title, but the ancient bloodline of the founders woke instantly in her veins, responding to the call of a world in need.

Her smile softens instantly, blooming sweet and pretty across her face. “Thank you, Your Majesty,” she says, lowering herself to her seat once more and folding her hands neatly in her lap.

I raised an eyebrow and burst out laughing. "What am I? A message sender? You even made me a servant." She frowned and took a piece of paper from inside his bag. "Name your price. How much money do you want?" I stared for a moment at the check she took out and burst out laughing. "Okay, I get it. I'm not famous but are you serious? You don't know me?" I asked in disbelief. "Why, who are you?" She seemed impatient to ask. "I'm Florence Mil, Servancio Mil's only daughter. I'm a drag racer too." I said with mixed pride. Her eyes widened and she looked at me in disbelief.

Her heels which was exactly same with mine– just two pairs in the world– clicked against the smooth floor as she was talked towards me, flaunting her high ponytail and bouncers. ‎I studied her face, not ignoring the tug at my heart. ‎"It's you, right?" she asked again, flashing a pleasant smile at me. "Serafina Dunes." ‎"I'm sorry, how do i know you?" ‎"It's me." she looked really elated to see me. "Delanxy Cromwell." ‎Her name made memories of that night rush in at once. ‎She was stained with a drink and I had helped her remove it. We talked for a while afterwards whilst I helped her tidy up for her date.

No shifter can heal that quickly, only … She snarls as she rolls and stands up facing me. The power rolling off her makes me shudder. I feel more people enter the room, Stacey included. When Starci laughs manically. I see the tears stream down her cheeks. “I am Princess Serana Bastian. Daughter of Queen Marcia and King Ronan Bastian. I am the last phoenix.” I watch as her palms turn up and red and gold flames dance. She opens her mouth, and a shriek comes out instead of a scream. The shriek of a phoenix.

Varric said Serena came forward, smiling happily, then another female I usually see her in the training grounds, she looked very beautiful with short black hair. Then another female who looked just like serena, both beautiful but with a rotting heart. She was among the females who bullied me in the kitchens. “Introduce yourselves,” Varric said “I am Matilda blue moon and I am contesting against Aria for the hand of the Alpha king” the warrior said I gulped “I am Serena Hale, contesting for the Hand of the Alpha king” she said

“How much do you know about the relic, Serena?” “I know that it’s about a thousand years old. It’s a statue of the goddess Sirona, an ancient Celtic goddess of healing. And that’s all I know. Oh, and I look like her. Whoopie for me! Wait a minute. I look like her. She’s the Goddess of Healing, but she’s a statue, and I’m real. Son of a bitch!” Serena shot up from her seat, her hands flying to her gaping mouth. “Raphael, don’t you see? It finally makes sense! He thinks I’m her!” She paced the floor and stopped cold, looking Raphael square in the eyes.
