Marked in the Middle
The ancient flames, dormant for centuries, whispered a single word in the silence:
“Oathbreaker.”
Outside, the storm had begun.
The mountains glowed faintly red where lightning struck, and the air pulsed with unnatural energy. The Shadow’s power was rising again, reaching for them.
Lyra looked down at the book in her hands, the key to her bloodline’s prison and whispered to the wind:
“Let this end with me.”
Kael mounted beside her, sword drawn, eyes fixed on the storm ahead. “Then let’s go break a god.”
And together, they rode into the darkness, toward the Veil, where oaths were born, and kingdoms died.
