I hope I gave you a satisfying ending and that it was worth the long wait. With that being said, I will be closing this book, Under the Moonlight, until I'm ready to write Jenny and Sebastian's story. ❤ But the good news for those who were with me from Book 1 up until now is that Jace and Amara (Jake&Clair and Aeon&Alexa's pups) will spearhead the ALPHA BLOOD CIRCLE series, the next generation of the Black Shadow Pack. It bathed the entire sky in a reddish light that danced as if out of flames; the sky hosting a dance of lights and shadows from mystical worlds. There was a battle between the day that would not go away and the night that was ready to beautify the entire land with its wonders. The last glimmer of the sun struggled in vain to stay in the blackened sky, but slowly faded into the distance, giving way to the mysterious moon that silently rested in the sky, mirroring its beauty into the dark sea. The water passed straight through the shadow and turned black. Morrow floated closer. Her white light touched the edge of the darkness. The two forces clashed violently. Light and shadow pushed against each other. The shadow figure trembled slightly. But did not fall. You are bright, it said softly to Morrow. But not bright enough. With one smooth motion, it lifted its hand. Morrow was thrown backward into a building. Maria screamed. “No!” The shadow turned slowly toward the city. Toward the people. Toward everything. Helios moved to block it.

Willow applied pressure to her arm with a piece of paper while Roy gripped the steering wheel tight, his knuckles white. Sierra’s call came in halfway down the road, and she sounded panicky. “Roy, the candle we lit for Melanie in the church is flickering for no reason. I think it’s about to go out. Can you check it out? I’m worried.” Roy slammed the brakes and replied, “I’m heading back. We’re not traveling down the mountain tonight.” Observing the anguish look on Willow’s face, Roy changed his mind. He saw no reason to let Willow have her way.

The moonlight filtered through the canopy in broken fragments, casting shifting shadows that twisted unnaturally along the ground. The Noctari’s domain.
