Chicka POV I awoke with a burning sensation in my hand and vivid memories of yesterday; I have no idea where the others are, what happened to my friends, where my parents are, and then there was the thought of what was going on with the pups; I try not to move my hand as much as possible, but when I get up, I see the two pups are still sleeping, looking peaceful considering what one of them has been through.

They were once warm but now they were as cold as ice. Jacob brought home a large camel colour puppy. He had a black snout. He was a cross breed. A Saint Bernard mixed with a Pitbull but he looked like a boerboel. He was very shy and scared. He sat at the corner of the lounge with his head down. Theu pondered names for a while before he was named, Broccoli. The next morning the land lady called Jacob, " I don't want to see your dog outside". Jacob just nodded. There was no words. This once kind lady turned into a witch overnight.

Lihua uttered and she went out of the car first. "I'll work harder." Li Wei said to himself and also went out of the car. Together they got inside the pet shop. All the pets from this pet shop are for adoption only. They don't sell animals that they personally rescue or those animals that their breeders give for adoption. A girl approached them, "Hello, Good Morning. How may I help you?" she asked and stared at Li Wei. "We want to adopt a puppy. By any chance do you have any chow-chow here?" Lihua asked the girl who is still staring at Li Wei.

“Everyone’s going to want a piece of them. Most of them have shifted before turning eighteen. They’re special.” Their pups had started shifting before their eighteenth birthdays. Earlier and earlier. Every two months, the next litter shifted until they reached the twelve-year-olds. Then it stopped. From then on, the next litters shifted on their twelfth birthdays. It had been a surprise, but Thea talked them through it.
