Dupree, with his rune-infused blade, fended off the Shadows, each strike causing them to momentarily dissipate. Seraphina and I focused on the chest, attempting to harness its energy. As we channeled our combined powers, the chest began to glow brighter, emitting a frequency that seemed to disorient the Shadows. Moros, seizing the opportunity, shouted, "Now! Push them back!" With a collective effort, we unleashed a wave of energy, forcing the Shadows to retreat. But just as victory seemed within grasp, the ground trembled beneath us, and from the abyss, a colossal Shadow emerged, its presence dwarfing the others.

“Okay, creepy shadow me, what’s this about? You gonna guilt-trip me or something?” The shadow tilted its head, its eyes glinting with malice. “You hide behind your jokes, but you know the truth, don’t you? You’re afraid. Afraid that when it matters, you’ll fail. That you’ll be nothing more than a coward.” Jamie’s bravado faltered, his grip on the skateboard tightening. “Shut up,” he said, his voice low. “You don’t know me.” The shadow stepped closer, its presence suffocating. “I am you. And you know I’m right.”

“You should use it to your heart, witch. Your heart seems locked up and frozen somewhere in the Arctic.” Zack cracked up. “If you want your voice, Zack, you better shut up,” Shadow told him. “Wait. She can do that?” His eyes widened in amazement. “I can do better. I can give you life-long erectile dysfunction.” “What the hell?” It was comical how Zack quickly cupped his groin before us. “Hey, big guy.” I felt Shadow’s hand on mine. “You should go change.” “Right.” I left them, and I still caught Shadow talking to Zarah.

She was nervous but also excited. Will they like her? Will they welcome her with open arms? Only time will tell as they were moving toward the village that Caleb seemed to forget to her as their group consists of Caleb, Xavier, the one with brunette hair and grey eyes, Arthur who was black-headed and green eyes, and her to the secret village that was known as Shadow Pack.

I asked, looking at three who stood across from us. “We thought the Shadow of death was a man, never thought it could be a woman.” Luciano said. Why, because they just assumed only men could be doing something like this and no woman could be capable of inflicting so much fear on the world. Having them look over their shoulders scared for their lifes, owndering who it was becasue the Shadow of death could be walking next to them or be around them very where and don't even know who it was.

Men sat in booths with their cigars and their secrets, watching us like they owned the place. And in the back, I saw her. Not like the others. She wasn’t drinking, wasn’t leaning back with her arm stretched across the booth. She was stiff, controlled, almost… out of place. A silk scarf wrapped around her head, sunglasses hiding half her face. Sunglasses in the dark. Weird. I didn’t have time to think about it. The spotlight found me, the beat dropped, and I started my routine. Arch, spin, slide. Smile. Pretend—but suddenly my hand slipped. My foot missed the grip, and I wobbled hard. For a second, I thought I might catch myself but gravity had other plans.

Every wolf for themselves- true lab motto. I run full speed and jump over them, jumping in front of her. I push her behind me and bare my teeth, “1005, where the hell have you been!?” she screams. The Shadow beings are nasty creatures. Foam comes from their mouths and their eyes are black and hollow. They smell disgusting and all they want to do is kill and eat. “I couldn’t find any deer. I looked all night, but these fuckers have cleared the forest of them. I didn’t want you three to give me shit so I looked for as long as I could!” I lie.

But when I open them again and look towards where he is, I still see black leather wings and crimson eyes. His fighting is even more impressive than what I’ve seen in Sahara’s gladiator ring. When the shadow aims some kind of power, he flies back, flips, and lunges at what I assume is its head. He flaps his wings, pushing the shadow back and aims his sword over it, cutting through it. He twirls again and piercing the center of the shadow over and over again until the shadow fractures and shatters into a million pieces. As soon as that happens, the fog fades, and the dark monster disappears, leaving the shadows of the true darkness behind.

he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. “I'm going to kill you!” she growled, trying to claw at his face. “Not today, and I'd be careful on the threats, your best friend will be next if you decide to disobey me again,” he said pushing her away. “We're always watching, now that I know how to summon you, maybe I'll punish you, there for a while,” he said before disappearing. Abey looked down at her Grandfather. The Chief wandered close by. “This is a bad omen, you must leave. You are plagued by Shadows, scat, scat.” he hissed at her.
