Sigrid explained, "You will get to see your uncle perform later." Tianna was in a daze. "Is my uncle going to be in here?" She pointed at the computer in front of her with her chubby fingers. Sigrid almost died from her cuteness. She nodded. "Yes, your uncle will appear here." Tianna felt that this thing was really amazing. It could shrink someone down in size! "I'm already so small. Will I become even smaller after going in there?" Tianna used her little hands to gesture at her height, then gestured at how small she'd be after shrinking.

“Why is the dirt… sinking?” It was subtle at first. The ground didn’t drop. It compressed. Like the clearing was being pushed into a smaller version of itself. Trees leaned inward. Shadows shortened. Air thickened. Mael’s voice trembled. “It’s folding us.” “Yes,” I whispered. “It’s reducing space.” The hum returned. Satisfied. Collapse introduces resolution. Kairos spat into the dirt. “We’re not a math problem!” The earth compressed again. The trees were closer now. Branches scraping against each other without wind.

It was a total of seven days, and the space would shrink by half every day. For instance, if the original space was 10 kilometers, it would shrink to five on the second day. On the third day, it would shrink by half again, leaving it with 2.5 kilometers. Of course, that was just an example. A toxic looking fruit with smooth skin just appeared. “Eat son, the fruit will allow you to flit into the corners of this tree,” Grizzlebark suggested. Van does what he said. He grabs the fruit and eat it in one go (The fruit is as small as a grape). It is as sour as the first one but more fibrous. The effect of the fruit is immediate. The world around Van starts to enlarge; suddenly everything is growing into gigantic size. But it is actually him who is shrinking into nothing larger than a lab rat.

They began to gossip about their love lives and who they wished to attend prom with. At some point they paused.
