Blood streaked her temple, dark and glistening.
And above her, straddling her body, was Kira.
But it wasn't Kira.
Her face was twisted into something inhuman, her lips pulled back from her teeth, her hands curled into claws. Her eyes—her eyes were red. Deep, burning red, like embers in a fire. They glowed with a light that seemed to come from somewhere else, somewhere dark and ancient.
"Kira?" My voice came out as a whisper, broken and afraid.
