The Silent Siren

The Silent Siren

The drive over to the apartment was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Unasked questions hung in the air like a thick fog. Beads of sweat prickled on the back of the drivers neck as he too was smothered by the tension in the car. The seconds felt like minutes as the road seemed to stretch longer and longer before her eyes. Letting her eyes close, Thea suppressed a sigh as she leant her head against the window, she ignored the drumming of her head against the window as they drove over the bumpy terrain. Bellamy’s words playing on repeat in her head, ‘like our souls recognise each other’.

When Silence Met Madness

one of them teased. "Hahaha, we're witnessing history today. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time she's spoken since coming to this class. Look at her trying to play the quiet beauty. What a voice! No wonder she never talks; she sounds like a duck!"

His Silent Luna

His Silent Luna

He wore a narrow, golden band around his forehead with a single, glittering ruby dangling just above his eyes. “So, they’ve decided to try assassins again,” the vampire purred. His voice filled the throne room even though he barely raised his voice above a whisper. Ronan and I traded glances. We should have been hidden from his view. We had not made any sounds while entering the room. How did he know we were there? “Well, come on out where I can see you,” the vampire said. He sounded impatient. “I have much to do while I am awake. I don’t have time to waste on games.”

The silence between us

The silence between us

Still, for now, she let herself believe in the moment. Gabriel brushed his thumb over her knuckles. “When I was younger, I thought silence meant emptiness. Loneliness. But with you…” His eyes softened. “The silence between us is full. It’s alive. It’s everything I never thought I’d have.” Lucy’s lips curved, her tears slipping free at last. “Then let’s protect it. No matter what comes.” He drew her close, pressing a kiss to her hair. “Together,” he murmured.

Second in Silence

Second in Silence

Olivia was like a limpet. "Seriously, do you have any idea how long I've waited for you? Three years! I thought I'd be waiting forever! "What were you thinking, ditching a gold mine to moon over some guy? You've been head over heels for three years, acting like a total doormat. Are you out of your mind? You could've been rolling in dough by now! "I told you, guys are just speed bumps on the road to riches!" Her words buzzed around me, but I just grinned.

Silent Revenge

Silent Revenge

The deeper he went, the more frantic he became. He called my name over and over again, but no one answered. Laila had followed him outside, and finally, she snapped. "Philip, stop. Grace's a grown woman. She's not lost—she's just being dramatic again. Why are you making this such a big deal—" "Shut up!" Philip snapped, turning on her with fire in his eyes. "Keep your mouth shut, or get the hell out of my sight!" He kept moving, heart thudding with every step.

Deep Inside

Deep Inside

He was kneeling. Scarred hands behind his back. Shirt ripped open. Eyes locked on mine as if tethered. “You’re quiet tonight,” I murmured, swirling the last of my red wine in its crystal cage. My heels clicked slowly over the marble floor, the black slit of my gown whispering against my thighs with each step. Silas didn’t answer, not with words. Just a clench of his jaw. Just the unmistakable way his eyes dropped to my hands as I reached into my thigh holster and slowly drew out the golden blade.

One Night With Mr. King

One Night With Mr. King

****** Silence stood on the beach, the wind tugging at his coat, his gaze fixed on the woman ahead. Aurora. She stood by the water, her golden hair catching the moonlight, dancing like it had a life of its own. She stood elegantly, watching the ocean. This had been something she loved to do to escape reality. She loved the beach so much, and Silence sometimes watched her. He didn’t move. He didn’t need to. He had watched her for years, from a distance, too afraid to close the space between them. Afraid of what he might find or feel.

Jae Pickett
Awesome book! I started this book while my others were updating and got stuck, can’t put it down! The relationship between Cash and Tatie is beautiful, gangsta, and full of passion. It’s a really great read! Ty

Very nice story that moves quickly. Has violence and danger, but loyal friends, devoted family, and good humor as well. Main characters are very relatable. Only the ending is rushed and you want the story to keep going. Mr. King aged 25 years while are not aging as fast. 40/50 yo not old!
