Silvia frowned when he met her eyes again and leaned forward to talk to her away from his microphone.
“Ready to make them cry, woman?”
She thought she knew what he was about to play, and it was nothing she wanted to sing in front of all those strangers. He said something to Liam, and the guitarist’s surprise only confirmed her suspicions. He turned to her again.
“No, Jay, please,” she whispered.
“Say my name.”
Silvia shook her head, lips pressed together in a tight line, letting him read her question in her eyes: why are you doing this? Ever since they’d met, this had become something like their song for her, the one he never played in public, but had shared with her twice.
