His blood spurted into my mouth, hot and metallic, and moaned for a moment before recoiling in horror at what I had done. But there was no time to think. Another man raised his gun and fired at me. I saw the silver bullet coming, but instead of pain, I felt… nothing. Silver couldn't hurt me anymore. All werewolves could die from silver bullets, but it seemed to not affect me. The men’s faces twisted in fear as they watched the bullet do nothing to me. "She’s a demon," one of them whispered, backing away.

Darryl smirked, baring his sharp fangs. She crouched low, preparing to pounce, but the cunning Alpha shifted and grabbed a silver spear, stabbing her in the abdomen the moment she landed on him. She asked with curiosity swarming in her eyes because he seemed to be the same age as Rasmus and Reid couldn't for the love of God understand this woman. "The wolf you shot was my mate. He left the words hanging suddenly realizing he shouldn't have indulged in something which wasn't his business.

I bent down and picked up the dagger stuck in Brook's shoulder and went back to my side of the arena and sat down on the ground. Silver was one of the things that could kill werewolves, and in the form I had used it was even worse, because it entered through the nose and mouth and sticks to the mucous membranes... But well, the composition of this silver bomb was just enough to disable and not kill, and it hurt a lot, I was feeling the pangs in my chest myself, no matter how much I had held my breath, still, some particles had entered.
