He remembered even the smallest details. The control panel of the car was covered in blood. There was a small human bone on it. From the thickness and curvature of the bone, Jack could determine that it was a human skull. “This skull should be the skull of the deceased. Could it be that the head of the deceased was smashed?” Thinking of this, Jack turned to the left side of the car and looked through the open door. He only saw that the driver’s seat was covered in blood. It was broken. He still had a few pieces of broken bones, which were also skulls.

Each of them had a jade-green skull mark on their bodies. Clearly, these were the hidden Bone Academy. These people came too quickly and strangely. Even though everyone was on guard, they still did not react. By the time they realized what was going on, their throats had already been ruthlessly cut open by the sharp weapons.

And the blood was clotting, making the shape look like a deeply engraved tattoo. But some of the flies rested there; waiting for the others to give them room, so they could join the feast going on untop of the man's head. That seemed to have been cracked open. The man's left hand was chafed, and the palm of his right hand had something written on it. In black and italics. But I couldn't read it clearly. And it was now I saw the skull. But it was actually the bone of his nose, as the skin had been removed. Peeled off, more likely, leaving only the shallow opening underneath the flesh.

Just by speaking, the skull general could control his body and even time with ease, something that couldn't be achieved by just anyone. "Me? Perhaps you already know who I am by looking at the book in front of me." Suddenly, the skeleton general, who had been hunched over, glowed and his old face became younger. A figure with a white beard and gray hair appeared before the eyes of the left general and the bull.

Nothing about the stories I'd been told about this creature could have prepared me for right now. It was tall in such an Eerie manner. It had a skeletal frame that was strung together with limbs that bent like branches wrapped together with deer hooves at the ends. Its skin hung loose in some places, and fused to bone in others, a sickly grey stretched over its misshapen form. On its shoulder was a bare skull, with deep sunken eyes sockets that glowed with two low, smoldering yellow beads—not with life, but with hunger. Beneath its cracked chest, its rib cage shifted rhythmically, like something trapped inside was clawing to get out.

Recent death. They moved like shadows between the rocks. Claws slid out. Weapons were drawn. And there, curled in a shallow cave barely big enough to hide in, was a Bone Eater. The creature was alone. It looked up as they approached, black eyes widening in shock. No one ever came this deep into the peaks. No one sane. Marcus took in every horrible detail. The creature's gray skin stretched tight over it's bones. Its long fingers ended in cracked yellow claws. When it breathed, its ribs poked through paper-thin flesh. A living skeleton wrapped in rotting leather.

'Or didn't care. I lowered myself underneath, taking in her appearance up-close. No broken bones, no puncture wounds, with a sheer layer of muscle and skin on the protruding bones, and the only out of the normal thing was that the look on her face was that of terror...at least that was my feeling from the almost faceless skull. 'Touch it and you'll find out more' Flame said. 'You know more, don't you?' I asked her rhetorically, to which she didn't answer and I touch one shoeless foot.

Stefan grumbled, knocking the object with his knuckles, “It's a parietal bone, it's one of two located in the skull, it helps to form the roof of the cranium,” Lilith inspected it closely, “The real question is... I couldn't escape. A metal helmet descended from above. Countless thin needles pressed against my scalp, searching for entry points. The sharp tips pierced through skin and bone, drilling straight toward my wolf soul core.

Kael said, trying to grasp the logic. "No," Alistair corrected. "Your body is containing it. The hardening skin—the 'scales' as those mindless zealots call them—is actually calcified, keratinized bone-matter. Your system is producing a dense, biological armor to seal the necrotic energy away from your vital organs. It’s building a tomb inside your own flesh." Kael stared at his grey, rigid fingers.
