I couldn't help but scoff. She fought me every time I urged her to take her medication. Yet she obeyed Julian's every word. I remembered the first time I met her parents. Julian was there too. I thought nothing of it, assuming they were just close friends. That night, Wendy sleepwalked and found herself standing on the bridge over a river. Julian and I reached out to her as we shouted her name frantically.

My feet touched the floors inside silently and I straightened up to scan the room. He was sleeping on his bed, oblivious to my presence. His soft snores echoed in the room and fell like a heavenly delight on my ears. Slowly and quietly, I approached his bed. He looked so peaceful and calm sleeping like that, I almost felt bad for what I was about to do next. Sticking my index finger in my mouth, I made sure to get as much saliva on it as I could before taking it out and shoving it deep inside his nose. It took him only a couple seconds, but he was wide awake and screaming in no time.

She pulled out a can of peach soda, cracked it open, took one sip… and promptly laid down flat with the can still in hand. I blinked. “Are you… going to sleep like that?” “Mm-hmm,” she mumbled, eyes already closed. “Horizontal living. And just like that, I realized that I had no idea how I was going to survive this. Things were about to get really sane.

And when I was completely exhausted, I lasped into a sleep deeper than I’ve ever known. I was woken up too soon my the clanging sounds of the cage being opened. Two men grabbed me by the shoulders before I could even register what was going on and threw me out of the cage and onto the floor. I realized I had landed at someone’s feet as I glimpsed the pointed toes of the shoes right in front of my face. I groaned from the collision with the floor before looking up at the person at whose feet I was lying. “Did you have a good sleep?” asked Rose. “I doubt it.”

"Mia, you are just as special as I knew you would be." Flipping my legs over the side of the bed, I try to roll my ankles, but a large boot is on one of my legs. I wiggle my toes inside the boot before opening each of the straps and tossing the boot to the side. Sliding slowly off the bed, I test my weight on my feet.

My eyes soon became heavy and before I knew what was happening, I drifted off to sleep. ~~~~ I could hear the footsteps of the shoes echoing in the background and the presence becoming more and more closer to me and soon it stopped. The fear Within me couldn't be hidden, I kept up my act, pretending like I was still asleep and hoping that he would go away. I was wrong to think he would, peeking from my slightly opened eye, I saw the figure squatting before me, his face was hidden in the dark but his cold golden eyes lit up. I shivered in fear, who was this man and why was he after me?

Flora's POV My eyes swelled up as I blinked and looked around the room. I slowly sat up and let out a yawn. I checked my temperature and discovered that the fever had not subsided. I realized I had not taken any medication last night. I got out of bed and thought about going to the bathroom to wash up. In the middle of the way, I felt something piercing my feet. I hissed out in pain. I lowered my head to look at my feet. Blood was coming out of my feet. A sharp diamond pierced my bare feet.

She had measured her shoes size just now while she's sleeping . After reaching, I went straight to his room and slumbered on his bed without even changing my clothes. As soon as my eyes closed, sleep embraced me with open arms. After some time I felt someone taking out my heels. And after some time I felt a warm hand kneading my head as if taking away the pain and pushing me more into sweet slumber. I wanted to open my eyes and look at who was doing it but my eyes refused to open as my head started to ache more.
