I am Chloe Patterson, the Omega. I grit my teeth as the pain reaches my hip bones. I refuse to scream! I can do this. I close my eyes, and I picture my mom. I imagine her smiling and clapping for me, and the pain in my body dims just a tad. Her light brown eyes are full of love as she watches me shift for the first time, and I smile within my mind at the image. Pain shoots up my spine, and my skull feels as if it is being ripped apart, but I keep smiling to myself even though my real teeth are clenched. Mom gives me a thumbs up in my head, and I laugh/cry as my elbow breaks.

I said to her when we brought up yesterday's argument. "Yeah, I was frustrated I had a lot on my head abd I didn't know what to do." When she said this I looked at her face and I could sense hurt. She looks like she is just smiling on the outside but deep down in her she is not as happy as she looks. "Look at me, I have been through many ups and down and I am here still smiling when necessary and angry when it's called for, but our pains don't break us, they only make us stronger." I said a word of encouragement to her.

“Just know this, I got a hint that he isn’t that good now either. Maybe he has a plan or something” I nodded. “Okay…” “Don’t be sad,” he smiled. Just look at him. He is in so much pain but still smiling. Why? Because he knows I will smile only when he does. I smiled back at him. I know things are getting rough again.
