The sun had gone down when Saffy drove towards Jack's house, and she was interested to see inside the beautiful home. She hadn't thought about Jack for a few days, she had been so busy getting to know her Granny and practising her spells, but she had looked on the bookshelves and found an old book concerning werewolves. It was a bit odd to read as the words kept disappearing, but Granny said to tell the book off - which Saffy thought would be neither use nor ornament, but then her world had turned into entirely crazy, so reprimanding a book seemed neither here nor there.

“Are you okay? Who are you speaking to? I ask, a bit worried. “It's a voice in my head, she calls herself Lyra. I know you might think I'm crazy and probably need to go to an asylum but it's the truth” “I believe you”. I say smiling at her while finally closing the gap between us, I reach out to her once again, patiently waiting and praying for her to take my hands. Just as she reaches out to me, I hear the ruffling of leaves nearby and then a different scent hits me. My instincts to protect her kicks in and I quickly tell her to get behind me while abruptly scanning the area for rogues. As expected, a couple of wolves jump out of hiding and begin circling us, their intent clear as they grow

StarWolf was the son of Caspian and the Witch Star, he had grown into a huge Alpha Wolf, his coat blue/black, long and thick and his eyes were deep, navy blue. He was bigger and more powerful than his father because he was half Witch and carried his mother's magic. She had instilled her values into him, and he had learned to control his dark side. He became Alpha by challenging and killing the current Alpha, a no-good Rogue called Racer, who had led his small Pack into a battle with a Patrol and killed him without knowing.
