Sphinx Mythology Novels & Stories

A good place to read and study. After placing my things on the seat, I make my way straight to the mythology section of the library. In this part of the place, you could see different kinds of myths; Greek, Norse, Asian and more. Upon scanning the title of the displayed books, my eyes were caught by a familiar author, Priam. I hurriedly extend my hand to reach for the book, but another hand grab onto it first. I turned my head to the direction of the owner of that hand, it was a man just a little bit inches taller than me.

Those purist nobles were going to have a fit, but I had an excellent argument to throw at them. Most of the multispecies matings were true mates, fated by Selene, the Moon Goddess and Helios. Also fated by Nyx since it now included vampires. Nyx was an interesting deity. Most tended to assume that she would most likely be evil because she was the Goddess of Night and Vampires, but that was far from the truth. She was an ancient deity that appeared at the dawn of creation. A beautiful winged Goddess.

My father’s eyebrow shot up in a horrified expression, his mouth twisting in disappointment. “Now, Callista. I know that all of these movies now days focus on Zeus and the Olympian gods and goddesses but you cannot tell me that you never paid any attention when I spoke to you and your brother about the other aspects of mythology. Greek mythology doesn’t revolve around the titans versus the Olympians.” my father’s voice went into his lecturing tone and I had to force myself not to zone out like I did under the usual circumstances. “I’m sorry I didn’t pay attention Baba, I truly am. Please can you teach me about Morpheus?”

’ I snorted making the librarian glare at me and giving her an apologetic smile I looked back at Ethan and said, ‘Well I will go now and remember don’t let anyone know and especially don’t tell Cain. Giving me a two-finger salute and with a nod, he immediately left the library as I smiled at his retreating figure. Turning around I sighed looking at the towers of books that I had to look through and already feeling irked I dragged myself towards the shelves that were dedicated to myths and mythologies. Finding a few books on ancient myths related to the moon goddess and a few on demons I carried the books to an open and single round table in one corner of the room. There I spread out the book

“Listen to me carefully. The Great Dream is the creator of The Myth; he then divided his power and merged with nature after the process of The Myth was completed. At that time, a golden seed leaded the Myth. The golden seed is a direct descendant of the Great Dream and only appears once every five hundred years.”

He picked up a bunch of books. - So, where is this little book with historical facts. Running his eyes over the shelves, Conrod thought. - Hmm, who can take it? Okay, and this is basically enough. Conrod rolled the loaded cart over to the small tables. One of the books lay with its worn cover on the surface of the mahogany table. A small table lamp gently illuminated the brown cover, the embossed letters outlined in small shadows. "Encyclopedia of the Mythology of the World." Conrod opened a page with the heading "Beliefs of the Ancient Slavs." His eyes darted over the letters, putting words together and squeezing information out of them. He carefully read:

Mary pauses beside John and stares up at the him, “What are they?”. “Sphinxes” “Sphinxes?”, she scratches her head as she as she walks beside John who leads the way according to the map in his hand. “The creatures with a human head and a lion's body?” “Yes, but I’ve never seen them turn into that. The looks given to them by different cultures may just be a myth”

I am afraid but I must fuel my curiosity. My fingers trail over books as I use my eyes to search. “History of the Great Wars. Wolf-Clan Genealogies.” Useless!! In a corner, I find a smaller shelf with older, cracked bindings. One title stands out: Creatures of Myth and Scarcity. I pull it free, coughing at the plume of dust, and sink to the floor in a pool of blue velvet. I open it. Swan Mythology. It is exactly what I am looking for.
