I sent him to his death for a snack. Then, the sensor beeps. Green light flashes on the console. Perimeter Breach. I stand up, my hand reaching for the pistol taped under the table. The airlock hisses again. Spadino walks in. He is covered in mud. There are leaves in his hair. He has a scratch on his cheek that is welling blood. But he is grinning. He kicks the door shut behind him. In his arms, he holds a wooden crate. It smells of damp earth and summer. It smells of sugar.

It wasn't much of a pep talk, but it was all I could muster. I spent the next thirty minutes cleaning myself up as best I could. My hoodie was unsalvageable, still soaked and stained. I squeezed the water out leaving it to dry, and pulled on Kade's hoodie instead. It was unbelievably big even with his lean build, hanging far past my hips, the sleeves covering my hands entirely. But it was warm and clean. My phone buzzed in my pocket, an ancient thing, miraculously held together with a cracked screen protector and prayers. It was a text from Margaret, the head cook.

A soft song plays in the background. Its fine tune flows through the air and resonates around the room. The room is spacious but filled with an atmosphere of wicked intentions. There is a round pool inside; it is not filled with water but blood. Adrian, Alex and another man stay close to one edge of the pool. Adrian and Alex are silent as this unknown character plays with a silver coin in his hand. Throwing it into the air and catching it. Just as the silver coin begins to burn his hand he throws it back into the air and continues this circle of activity.

He was not sure why he had to input data Like his date of birth, address family address, next if kin, is this a bank or something he mused to himself as Rosemary came back to pick the letter from the table. "She'll see you in a minute" she said to Tom with a smile He simply nodded continuously as he filled out the document in front of him,he struggle with the spelling of "friend" he couldn't figure out which one came first the "I" before the "e" or the other way round, he bit the pen lightly and decided that they wouldn't notice his mistake if he wrote them in lower case or he'd rather strike it out as a mistake, then he'll seem too careless, he couldn't try that move, he couldn't hold his

Soft duty. Shin was still crying. Even his sobs grew louder. Maybe Mrs. Duty is now wet from Shin's tears. "I have no one in this world. I have nothing in this world. I have no people who love me. Everyone hates me. I'm just a loser who should have chosen suicide. Well, I should have died. So now let me die!" ***

As soon as I made it in the door, Zaria begins to tell me that today wasn't going to get any better. I took a deep breathe and prepared myself for the mountain of bad news. "What happened?" I asked. "We mixed up two orders again and the big oven has gone out." She replied. I just couldn't believe my day. I went in my office and closed the door. I needed a moment to get myself together. I called my delivery guys and sent them back to the events they had delivered the cupcakes. I had them both switch addresses and had them deliver to the right customers. At this point was fustrated. I had to pause a minute. I felt a small headache coming on. I still needed the oven fixed.

"I didn't think the soup tasted really good here," said Jazlyn, who took another bite of the potato soup in the bowl that became her lunch menu. "Not everyone in the office likes this menu. Only Ms. Edbert likes potato soup," said Raina. "I already said it. Just call me Jazlyn. It's easier for you than having to call my last name," said Jazlyn, looking seriously at Raina. "Okay, Jazlyn. This sounds a little weird doesn't it?"

Quincy barely opens her eyes when I give her Tylenol and Motrin, but Chance makes it clear he's not happy he's still waiting for dinner. "Okay dude, what'll it be?" I ask him as I look at the jars of baby food on the counter. "You can have squash or mixed vegetables." He lets out a frustrated squeal as the doorbell rings. "I know. Those choices suck. I'll look for bananas in a minute."

She used it all, it swallowed her own footsteps as she closed distance. She was close enough to smell his soap, something expensive and floral under the market stink of wet stones, fish and overflowing gutters. Still arguing, he was insisting on an unbelievable market price that almost made Jade laugh. Amateur. Not because he's foolish, rather because he thinks manners matter here. He thought that fair price was owed to him for asking politely.
