"There," Anna said, stepping back and brushing a stray lock of hair from her forehead. "I've adjusted your tracking latency from four milliseconds to zero by rerouting the telemetry through your secondary auxiliary array. Your scouts on the ridge will now see a shadow move before it even takes a step."
She turned her head to look at him, her golden eyes burning with an unholy ambition.
"Now, show me your western border coordinates, Commander. If we are going to build an empire out of this frozen rock, we might as well start by taking the pieces Saed is about to lose."
