Stepbrother Mine: A Son For Alpha Zoren Novels & Stories

“Of course, it was! That asshole left me. He left my mother. He deserved everything he got.” He taps my cheek in a condescending way. “And, I couldn’t have you standing in my way. I wanted to be a good brother to you. But our father wouldn’t allow it. So, no love lost, is there, brother? What you assumed was yours, is really mine. I am the first-born son of the Alpha of Alphas, and therefore, I am the new King of Alphas. You are just the brother that is getting in my way.”

Our hands got warmer, but I grabbed back, not letting it go. When she finally let my hand go, she looked at me. “He’s a handsome fella.” “You saw him?” Amazed, I asked. Why was I even bothered? I shook my head to clear my thoughts. “Who’s he?” “Your mate’s brother.” My mouth hung open. “Alpha has a brother?” Aira joined us. I didn’t know she was still here and not with Tor. “Keep this between us,” Zarah said to her. “Of course. I won’t tell Tor.”

he said, and a frown settled on my face. “The beta took the Alpha’s daughter and killed the Luna… and this beta is the alpha’s brother?” I asked to be certain of what he was trying to say to me because everything I had just asked made no sense in my head. Why would a brother kill his sister-in-law? And why switch the babies?

Stop. "Pumpkin?" His voice drops lower, and I swear the temperature drops around us with it. "Yeah." “I'm not pumpkin head,” he says in a call voice, a voice that did something to my insides. “I'm your stepbrother…..well I don't see you as a relative if you ask me.” I blink. “Stepbrother?.” He raises his hand as if stopping me, “Yes…I mean no, I can't see you as mu step sister, not because of the bond or because of the marriage between our parents or whatever. And don't ask me why. Just know I'm Alpha Donovan's son.”

“Don’t move yet, Hunter! Wait for my signal!” Zane whispered through the pack link, his hand gripping his brother’s shoulder as Hunter nearly exploded at the sight above the iron grate. “He’s about to cut our father’s head off, Zane! I can’t wait!” Hunter growled, his Alpha fangs fully extended, saliva dripping onto the cold tunnel floor. The muscles across his back trembled violently, ready to tear through the grate above us with sheer brute force.

"He has an interest in the Ashwood situation?" Something moved in Dominic's face—careful, contained. "He has an interest in Geron." Another pause. "Aldric Vasquez is the founding Alpha of the Stoneback Pack. Southwest territory, three hundred miles from here. One of the oldest packs in this region." His eyes held mine. "He is also Geron's father-in-law. They married pack to pack twenty years ago—Geron married Aldric's eldest daughter."

His family name appeared in texts that predated most of the current packs by centuries. "Caleb is my stepbrother," he said flatly. "He never mentioned a brother." "He wouldn't have." Lucien pulled the chair beside my bed closer and sat, his elbows resting on his knees, eyes level with mine. "Caleb is a bastard son. He has no legitimate legal claim to the Alpha title of the Bloodmoon Pack. He has always known this. He also knew that marrying into your bloodline, your mother's wealth, your family's political connections, the legitimacy that your name alone would give him with the council — was the only way to hold his position. So he engineered a marriage."

Compared to Valcrest, Celestia was barely a threat. Zevran held my gaze for a long moment before speaking. “The truth is, Alpha Koen is my half-brother.” His voice lowered. “And he is far more dangerous than you think.”

But then came that dark day when she introduced me to Rourke, her face pale and lifeless, telling me he was my new father. “Alpha, please…” I cried, struggling against his crushing weight. “You're supposed to be my father!” I twisted and writhed against his grip while I heard the sickening sound of him unbuckling his leather belt behind me. “And my son is supposed to be your brother,” he growled, lowering his face until his mouth was pressed directly against the shell of my ear. “But you're fucking him, aren't you?” he whispered darkly. My eyes widened in absolute horror.

Why not just dish yourself up for them on a silver platter, I internally chastise myself as I slowly take a step away from the trio, ready to make a run for it at any moment if necessary. "I'm Zara," the girl says, stepping toward me, causing me to take yet another step back. "It's okay. We mean you no harm," she says with a kind smile. "This is my older brother and our future alpha, Zane," as she says this, she indicates the guy that I had dubbed as their leader. Of course, another future alpha, I think with a cringe. "And this is my other brother, Zach," the other brother steps forward at the mention of his name.
