“And now he’s going to die because he couldn’t mind his business.” The second he says that, instinct takes over. I turn instantly toward the warehouse exit. The door is only a few feet away. I barely make it two steps before a gunshot explodes through the warehouse. The bullet tears into the metal wall beside me. I stop. Silver. I smell it before I even turn around. Richard stands now, arm extended, gun pointed directly at my chest. “This thing is loaded with silver,” he says casually. “Some witch made a few adjustments too. Thought I should come prepared in case your wolf gets dramatic.”

But what I never expected was Lorenzo going back on his word. As I slit Blue blood's throat, I narrowly missed a bullet as it whizzed past my head. I tumbled down the stage to take cover as more bullets pierced the air. Suddenly, everything seemed to slow down before me and I could clearly see the bullets rushing above me and on the stage. It was no ordinary bullet. It was made of raw silver. Lorenzo! That bastard! I should have known he wouldn't keep to his word.

She paused, stared at the pitiful form of the professor and sighed. "I think there's something in the bullets, boss," she started. "Normally, silver bullets affect us; incapacitate us for the time being, but it shouldn't be this worse. Professor Ulric's body seems to reject the healing process. I pulled the first one out of its position, and pushed the lid open. These weren't ordinary boxes, they were cartridge boxes, a total of three ammunition were inside as well as a box stack of bullets to accompany them. What was even more surprising, they were silver bullets, which probably would have meant one thing, they were for werewolves.
