Every glance, every touch, every whispered word of surrender tied another knot in the rope.
“You could stop,” she whispered.
Damien’s jaw clenched. He stepped closer, trapping her against the counter. “Tell me to stop, Sierra. Tell me you don’t want me. Say it, and I’ll let you go.”
Her lips parted, trembling. The words were there, burning on her tongue. But they died before they could form.
Instead, she whispered, “Don’t stop.”
