As the first wave of the beasts advanced, I raised my hands and they shrieked as I blasted them off with pure light. The beasts behind that first line paused, not daring to step away from the dark shadow surrounding them into my light. The first line that I blasted was nothing more than specks of dust now. “That was just a warning shot.” I growled.

Commander Vane burst through the door, her brass arm glowing cherry-red from the internal pressure of her boiler. She wasn't alone. Six of her engineers followed, wearing heavy iron respirators and carrying pneumatic saws that roared with the sound of a thousand angry hornets.

The warriors scrambled to obey, dragging the younger wolves away but Ava’s roar shook the air before they could clear the field. It wasn’t human or wolf. It was something else entirely. Wind burst outward in a violent surge, knocking several recruits flat. One boy rolled across the dirt until he slammed into a dummy, coughing blood. Warriors shielded their faces as sparks snapped through the air. “Ava!” I forced my way through the storm, my claws digging into the earth to anchor myself. “Look at me! It’s Lucas!” She didn’t look. Then lightning burst from her fingers, slamming into a dummy and exploding it into splinters. Another strike ripped into the ground, splitting the dirt apart.

Hastily reaching for his injured shoulder, Ravager shook with rage upon seeing blood on his hands. The criminal shot his eyes towards the direction of the arrow that injured his shoulder. Ravager glowered with anger upon seeing Luna, standing coldly and up high, holding her bow. "You little bitch! I'm going to kill you!" Body simmering with anger, Ravager activated the jeweled ruby bracelet he wore on his left wrist, which summoned forth a bolt of lightning that Luna barely escaped from, jumping down just in the nick of time. Dust and debris were flying everywhere.

I sprinted for the Interceptor, vaulting onto the pillion seat behind him. "Jax! Sienna! Reaper!" Dax barked into the comms. "I need its arms busy! Break its kneecaps, blind it, I don't care! Just give me a clear run at that ramp!" "You got it, Prez!" Reaper yelled from the second story. Reaper didn't aim for the armor. He aimed for the crimson visor. He fired three rapid shots, shattering the optical sensors on the left side of the Avatar's face.

“Step out of the car and lead the way to the back of the building. If you try anything funny...so God help you!” He keeps on commanding and I do as he instructs, saying a quick and silent prayer. “You will regret this Geo...” I'm silenced by the first shot which makes me turn to face him, earning another one on the forehead! I reel back after letting out a painful squeal. My world is crumbling right in front of my eyes. I hit the ground with a thud and I remember telling God to avenge my death then darkness engulfs my whole being!

Beside her stood Ivander Gale, the Wind Seeker, his calm demeanor betraying the hurricane-like powers he could summon at will. To Elysia's right was Raiden Stormcaller, a master of lightning and thunder, whose electric presence crackled with power. The lightning tattoos on his arms seemed to pulse, hinting at the destructive energy he could unleash. Standing next to Raiden was Mira Watersong, known for her water-based abilities and the tranquil aura she carried—deceptively so, for she could flood a battlefield in moments.
